September 2017
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Moxy (talk) 05:24, 22 September 2017 (UTC)

Calculating a radius from a luminosity and temperature
Could you please tell me, how do you calculate the radius of a star with the luminosity and effective temperature? --Joey P. - THE OFFICIAL 23:01, 10 October 2017 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by JoeyPknowsalotaboutthat (talk • contribs)
It is NOT Vandalism
My edit of what I’ve done at KABC-TV was to trim the list to the way it was before one user re-added the full list of on air staff. So therefore, my edit was correct! ACMEDeputy (talk) 11:58, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
Blocked editors removing their block notice
Hi ZaperaWiki44, this is just a quick note that blocked users can remove block notices from their user talk page per WP:REMOVE (though they cannot remove denied unblock requests), and that they don't need to be reverted when they do -- There'sNoTime (to explain) 16:02, 9 November 2017 (UTC)
- To add onto what There'sNoTime said - typically, a removal of a block notice is seen as a confirmation of receipt. It signals that the user has read/understood the message. Since block logs are public, it takes two seconds to check whether someone has been blocked before, hence why the block notice itself isn't really integral. Unblocks/4im warnings etc. are different in that they do not get logged aside from inside the page history, which is considerably more difficult to trawl. Hope that helps! m.o.p 18:07, 9 November 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you for informing me. Z.A.P (Reply/Edits) 08:52, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
Please stop tagging user pages
If a blocking admin had wanted it tagged, they would have done so. At least in the one case I'm aware of, your tagging of the page was actually incorrect, and caused yet more hassle. But there's really no benefit to tagging a userpage even if it's tachnically accurate, if the blocking admin chose not to. --Floquenbeam (talk) 14:55, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
- Additionally, edits like this are inappropriate for you to be leaving; you are not an administrator and not the one blocking. Nihlus 15:01, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
No worries, Zapper
I edited Lynn Loud to be 13 because I saw a recurring error, portraying her age as 12. However, it got reverted by someone else. Just want you to know that I'm not the one who edited the page to say that Lynn is 12. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MHTMH (talk • contribs) 03:17, 22 November 2017 (UTC)

VY Canis Majoris
I noticed the edit you made on the VY Canis Majoris page on pt.wiki. Since you seem to be more active here I am writing here.
- Monnier et al (2004) estimated the radius of the star from a measured angular diameter of 18.7 ± 0.5 mas, however since at that time the distance was not known the radius estimate was not accurate. So I recalculated the radius with this angular diameter and the modern correct distance.
- Wittkowski et al (2012) give a well-determined radius of 1420 ± 120 R☉ for VY Canis Majoris, but note that this value might be an upper estimate. Quoting the paper: "However, we can not exclude that extended molecular layers also contribute at our near-continuum bandpass to a small extent, and that our estimate of ΘRoss may still overestimate the photospheric diameter to a small degree (of the order of 1σ), so that it may represent an upper limit of the true photospheric diameter". largest known stars
Hello ZaperaWiki44, JayKayXD here. First, when you said "(trivial calculation from two values in a single publication (a note would be good since it is a calculated value))", did you mean the 1,420 SR estimate or the 1,650 SR estimate for Mu Cephie? Second, in the given ref for the 1,260 SR estimate, I'm pretty sure it didn't say that Mu Cephie is 1,260 SR. I don't even recall it mentioning Mu Cephie. If you could tell me where it says Mu Cephie is 1,260 SR and I find it, I'd be happy to accept the 1,260 SR estimate. JayKayXD (talk) 20:46, 10 September 2018 (UTC)
@JayKayXD: The given citation gives a radius of log of 3.10 R☉ (base 10 in this case), which just mean 103.10 or 1,260 R☉. That's all. Thanks. ZaperaWiki44(✉/Contribs) 11:50, 14 September 2018 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for January 8
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of largest stars, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mercury (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
