You prodded this article. I removed it because the article has already had an AFD here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jeff Macpherson. That's all. --UsaSatsui 18:08, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
I'm not sure how to correct what you did, but if you're going to add an infobox to an article, please make sure the image is centered and the caption appears beneath it, not next to it. I will try to figure out how to fix it. Thank you. MovieMadness 17:37, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

Sarah in rabbinic literature
Jewish Encyclopedia is in the public domain it says so on [1]
for this reason I used the {{Jewish Encyclopedia}} template which states This article incorporates text from a publication now in the public domain: Singer, Isidore; et al., eds. (1901–1906). The Jewish Encyclopedia. New York: Funk & Wagnalls. {{cite encyclopedia}}

Yoky Matsuoka
May I ask on what possible basis
- you suspect me of being Yoky Matsuoka?
- you think I have a conflict of interest in creating an article about her?
- you think an article in which every statement is cited needs more citation?
- you complain about my violating MoS without providing a single example of a problem
- you add all of this to an article within seconds of my first saving it, when I'm explicit in my initial note about having started from what I could take from one source?
Please reply either here or on my talk page. - Jmabel | Talk 03:39, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- I do apologize for that. I should be more careful in the future. I could've sworn I saw a username "YMatsuoka" as having created the article, and didn't check further, in the haste to keep up with the flood of new articles. Again, my apologies, and I will be more careful in the future! — Yavoh 03:42, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- Would you mind removing the tags then? And I would also suggest that in the event that a MacArthur Fellow were to write about herself, with solid citation, this would be a very excessive reaction: we would not want to drive away such a possible contributor. - Jmabel | Talk 03:46, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
You Stole My Thunder!
Please delete this asap. I don't know how I created it. I thought I was responding to someone else's talk page. joshschr (talk) 20:09, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, it's already nominated for speedy deletion. Happy Editing! — Yavoh 20:10, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
C And C Movie Factory revisited
Actually, the subject's web page says the same thing, so it was not an attack-- who knew? I deleted anyway because they seem not notable. Cheers and happy editing. :) Dlohcierekim 21:14, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
Super Stupid YouTube People
Hello Yavoh! This was a standard, run-of-the-mill completely non-notable YouTube article. You have no idea how many of these we get every day. The key thing to remember with these is that no matter how much they put into the article, it will always fail our notability guidelines and our reliable sourcing guidelines. I've deleted this one for you. Keep up the good work! :) GlassCobra 03:37, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
Deletion of List of symphonies in A minor
Actually, along with List of symphonies in C major, List of symphonies in E minor, List of symphonies in E major, etc. (all under the same category, and most of them linked to from the same page) it's part of an effort to break List of symphonies by key off into manageable chunks instead of having that page last forever - there's a discussion about it on that latter page's talk page. But I will canvas(s?) a few of the other people most involved in that particular bit of editing and see what they think... Schissel | Sound the Note! 04:05, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
- My apologies, I didn't realize there was a whole group of them. Certainly if other users are okay with it then they should stay. Happy editing! — Yavoh 04:06, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
Thank you. (I didn't read that talk page so well to begin with, alas, or I doubt I would have begun the E major list, for example.) Schissel | Sound the Note! 04:53, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
But while we're on the subject
What do you think of Johannes Jones? Found this while looking for entries to place into my list of A minor symphonies (since all of them have to be by composers already on Wikipedia)...
I can't find the alleged references; I've never heard of the composer, and - ok, I know what is rightly said about pride - I fancy I know a bit about lesser-known composers of that era; catalog.loc.gov does not list him - I'll try a few other places; I can give the fellow who created the page a few days to respond to a talk page request I made, or e-mail him/her directly- it's been up for a year, a few days will not matter - or place it in the queue myself...
(this could be called pulling a Layton; see http://stommel.tamu.edu/~baum/ethel/2001_01_21_ethel-archive.html ) Schissel | Sound the Note! 15:48, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
- As far as my Internet searches (google, library of congress, amazon) can find, he doesn't seem to exist. The only sources that mention him are citing Wikipedia anyway. Seems like a good candidate to nominate for deletion. — Yavoh 19:05, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
There's a Johannes A. Jones here - a doctor. Hrm. Agreed, anycase. Schissel | Sound the Note! 20:36, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
In an early edit the primary (but not only) editor to the page claimed the biography of the composer was in his family (he's a descendent of the composer, he claims)'s possession. Either fictional, non-notable, or evidence yet to be presented (or I'm missing something.) (Grammar lacking, for which I apologize. Dead horse quite beaten.)Schissel | Sound the Note! 02:35, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- In light of this discussion, I was going to prod it, but it looks like you already have. Case closed, I guess. — Yavoh 19:07, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
Glossary
You're fast!
Actually, this stemming from long term discussion on the Glossary of Christian, Jewish, and Messianic terms. Please refer to the discussion there calling for this very page.Tim (talk) 19:32, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
- You've left the AFD page active at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Glossary of Christian, Jewish, and Muslim terms (active in that it's still transcluded into today's deletion discussion page). Do you want it deleted? Perhaps deletion should be considered as part of the debate at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Glossary of Christian, Jewish, and Messianic terms? --kingboyk (talk) 19:40, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Whoops, I removed the AfD from the article after discussing it with the WikiProject people and the article author; seems like I forgot to remove it from the discussion. I just removed it. Thanks for letting me know. — Yavoh 21:03, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
New Pages
Thanks for your work marking pages for speedy deletion. Next time, once you place a tag on a page, could you mark it as patrolled? The link is in the bottom right hand corner of the page when you access it from Special:Newpages. That way, I won't click on an article you've already taken care of. Best, sh¤y 00:52, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Sure thing. I was under the impression that Twinkle automatically did that for me, but I guess I was wrong! — Yavoh 00:53, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
Page tags
I just made Girassol solar power plant, and u you flagged it for insufficient refs. It has 3 for a fairly short article. How many are needed ZyMOS (talk) 00:58, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Apologies, I meant to add the {{nofootnotes}} tag. It's fixed now. References should be cited in-text for clarity of verification.
I did not create this page myself. Phil Bridger (talk) 10:40, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
Wikipedia:WikiProject Countering systemic bias
Hi Yavoh,
You should check out Wikipedia:WikiProject Countering systemic bias, it may be illuminating. Would you consider the national football coach of any European country non-notable? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thomas.macmillan (talk • contribs) 05:08, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
Your NPWatcher application
Dear Yavoh,
Thank you for applying for NPWatcher! You've been approved to use it. Before you run the program, please check the changelog on the application page to see if there is a newer release (or just add the main page (here) to your watchlist). Gummy (disambiguation) speedy
Hi, I was building the article and saved rather than previewed. The article should be fine now but wanted to touch base in case I need to do something else. Benjiboi 08:01, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
You uploaded this image today under a CC 3.0 license, but when I check the source page, the license there is different, and it states that the image can't be used commercially. As such, I'm going to delete it, per C3 of WP:CSD#Images_and_media. -Hit bull, win steak(Moo!) 21:54, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
- I'm going to do the same thing for Image:Prager_At_NewTeeVee_Pier_Screening.jpg, because the license on that one was both noncom and no derivative works (see for yourself) . I'm sure this was just an innoncent mistake (possibly from forgetting to click the CC boxes under advanced search; I've done that before), but please be more careful in the future. -Hit bull, win steak(Moo!) 23:32, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, yes. I forgot the "non-commercial" bit. Would the license for this image be acceptable, then? Thanks, — Yavoh 01:52, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- That one should be just fine. Incidentally, if you do a lot of uploading from Flickr, you may want to try the Flickr upload bot at Commons, if you haven't already. I use it a fair bit and it simplifies the process a lot. -Hit bull, win steak(Moo!) 14:44, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- I was also wondering if/how it was appropriate to crop free photos found on flickr. How would I go about uploading the cropped version? Would I still use the bot? — Yavoh 17:11, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, yes. I forgot the "non-commercial" bit. Would the license for this image be acceptable, then? Thanks, — Yavoh 01:52, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Removal of speedy deletion tags
Yavoh, you seem not to understand who can remove speedy deletion notices. For example you complained about me removing the notice on Crossbite, and you apologised for complaining about the removal of the one on Dan Koch on the grounds that the remover was an admin. In fact any editor apart from the creator is allowed to remove the notice, as is very clear in the text of the template. There is no need to be an admin to do this. Phil Bridger (talk) 19:54, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the pointer, Phil, I didn't realize that! I need to sit down and reread all the policies about the things I do most on Wikipedia, it seems. — Yavoh 20:19, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
David Sedaris photo
Hi... I've marked that David Sedaris photo for speedy deletion on Commons. I know the Flickr uploader marked it as cc-by, but it's not his photo. It's just a publicity photo he found. Be careful when looking for Flickr photos; it's usually pretty obvious when then user has taken them.—Chowbok ☠ 17:34, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
- That's too bad. Thanks for letting me know. — Yavoh 19:02, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
I just defeated Namkop for ya :)
I took him to WP:AIV, he's now got a permablock. ViperSnake151 18:17, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
I didn't mark it; I actually deleted it myself, after it came back from Orangemike's deletion of it. It came back w/o the CSD tag, and then was re-deleted by Orangemike again. - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 16:29, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
Competition Cams
I understand that you are a student at Columbia, and that's fine. I'm sure you consider yourself an esteemed student. However, you are a student, and should realize the difference between my earlier posts, which were speculation and opinionated, and my recent post, which is heavily reaserched, sourced, and cited. On another note, there is no such thing as "criteria" for YOUR encyclopedia. Encyclopedias are the documentation of fact. Either Wikipedia IS or ISN'T an encyclopedia. Should you wish to edit my article or point out an area that I should edit, please do. I encourage your help. Should you delete it without consideration of my opinion, I will continue to recreate the article. As a professional business WRITER speaking to a STUDENT, I expect you to be more considerate and respectful when attempting to delete fact. Thank you. --Jabarke1 (talk) 21:33, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
To be more civil, perhaps you could rewrite the page for me on a more neutral level. I would truly appreciate your help, and I belive this would best solve the dispute over the Competition Cams page. Being that the company is well-known across several industries in quite a few countries, the documentation of the company's history and operations could be a great addition to Wikipedia. --Jabarke1 (talk) 22:10, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
Re: CSD on SecureBurn
I would qualify this article under G11, since it effectively advertises the product shown, and also the 2 related articles you listed, also qualify under G11 since they link out to sites in order to get the product several times in the case of FluxDVD... I would nail them, or at bare minimum, prod them. Thor Malmjursson (talk) 02:11, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
