A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Xsolla Rep SR/Xsolla draft, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. @Leonidlednev: Hey! I've declined deletion. This editor is participating in the COI process here. Thanks, -OXYLYPSE (talk) 19:27, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I didn't see that. The page just popped up in the filter log. --Leonidlednev (TCL) 19:30, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Your account has been blocked from editing because your username gives the impression that the account represents a group, club, organization, company, product, department, or website. Your username is the principal reason for the block. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here. You may also read our FAQ for article subjects.

Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change to this account.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username of this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your user talk page (this page): {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Important items to note:

  • The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • The new username you choose cannot already be taken and used by another account. You can search here to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns, "There is no global account for [username]", that means it is available.
  • Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, department, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your user talk page (this page): {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

Thank you. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 00:00, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

I am changing my username from initials to full name to make it more clear I am an individual, as requested above. Xsolla Rep SR (talk) 14:28, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

Has user's initials in the name. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 16:51, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you're saying "SR" is your initials, your current username is acceptable, but I can still change it if you wish. 331dot (talk) 14:31, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'd suggest changing it as other admins also seem confused. See here. -OXYLYPSE (talk) 14:48, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that the block was not unreasonable, but the username technically complies with policy as it is now- but I'm happy to change it if the user wishes it still. 331dot (talk) 15:25, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'll unblock you as you are not violating the policy. I would counsel you to make it a bit clearer. I read the "SR" as being senior, as in senior rep. Maybe "SR at Xsolla" would be better without you having to use your name? In any event, the block is not helpful in this situation. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 16:49, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks 331dot I think changing it to "Xsolla Sara" will be best for avoiding more confusion in the future if you could go ahead and make that change! Xsolla Rep SR (talk) 14:02, 15 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Done. 331dot (talk) 14:34, 15 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Aleksandr Agapitov moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Aleksandr Agapitov. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and per creator request (COI). I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. OXYLYPSE (talk) 15:58, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
