Welcome back! I uploaded pics (see places), on a mountain in the sun above the fog. - Madeleine Riffaud - remember. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 23:44, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you @Gerda Arendt I'm always surprised how similar the countryside of Germany can be to the countryside of the UK, it is a lovely picture. WormTT(talk) 13:48, 13 November 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for standing for arbitrator. I am far away from it all (travel, mourning), not in the mood, so just an informal question you can answer or ignore:
- Liviu Holender chose lieder by five composers whose music was banned by the Nazis—Schreker, Zemlinsky, Mahler, Korngold and Schönberg—for a recital at the Oper Frankfurt.
What does this 2024 DYK tell you about infoboxes for classical composers in 2024? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:17, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message
[edit]Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:21, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
FYI re recall rules
[edit]Good luck in the ArbCom election. I hope and expect to see you returned to the Committee.
A minor comment on one of your answers: I believe the administrator recall procedures were changed so that a petition will remain open for 30 days after being filed, rather than 6 months. Best regards, Newyorkbrad (talk) 15:26, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks @Newyorkbrad. I'm glad that was changed, as I've noted 6 months is far too long. I'll update my comment, as I think the scenarios I mention in my answer do still need to be addressed. WormTT(talk) 15:30, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
Wiki page indexing
[edit]Hey I was wondering if you could index our wiki page We need an administrator to approve our page - so it can get indexed by Google if so I will gladly send the link please lmk if you can Defismylo (talk) 21:00, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Defismylo. The page Chai (software) has recently been approved as a draft and is in the main space, where it is referenced by a few other articles. I haven't checked if it's been patrolled - but by having an editor move it to the main space, it is "approved" in its current state. I will remind you that the purpose of Wikipedia is to be a repository of the sum of human knowledge - not a place for Google to index and give you better SEO. As such, we do not provide any SEO services, around indexing or other optimisation. The page is in the Wikipedia ecosystem now - It may end up indexed, but it may take some time.
