"Minor" edits on Jacobsen v. Katzer
[edit]Hi there, Jmriadvocate. When editing, please note that minor edits are supposed to be small and non-controversial (like fixing typos or formatting), while your edits significantly change the meaning of parts of the article and are clearly disputed. In the future, please refrain from checking the "This is a minor edit" checkbox for those. Also, since this article is subject to much dispute, it would be great if you could discuss changes on the Talk page first. Thanks, Npdoty (talk) 08:12, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
Use of name "JMRIAdvocate"
[edit]Dear JMRIAdvocate, Please contact Bob Jacobsen's attorney, Victoria Hall, at www.vkhall-law.com, off line. Thanks. Vhkane (talk) 02:24, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
Inappropriate User Name
[edit]I'm the administrator of the JMRI open source project [[1]], and own the "JMRI" principal register trademark (registration number 3380753).
This "Jmriadvocate" account has used _only_ to edit the "Jacobsen v Katzer" Wikipedia entry which discusses a case involving me and JMRI. Essentially all of Jmriadvocate's edits have not, in fact, been "advocating" any position that JMRI or its developers would endorse, and most of them directly conflict with facts as understood by JMRI and the JMRI developers.
I believe that this account name is therefore inappropriate because it's misleading, which the policy defines as names that "imply relevant, misleading things about the contributor".
If you do have a reasonable claim to the use of the JMRI trademark, please contact me directly; if you're associated with JMRI enough for that to be the case, you'll now how. Absent that, I will shortly escalate this and ask that your edits be removed.

I have nominated Robert Jacobsen v. KAM Detailed Patent Issues, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Robert Jacobsen v. KAM Detailed Patent Issues. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Jminthorne (talk) 01:26, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
