- You're welcome. That guy vandalized my user and talk page after a level 4 warning so I left him a not so nice message in all caps to get him to really stop. Amos Han Talk 00:19, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
- Guess what, the person vandalizing my user page got blocked for 31 hours. Now I can rest all day on April 20. Amos Han Talk 01:29, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Virginia Tech shooting issue
I noticed you have asked Rooot to not remove content from this article without adequate discussion. He appears to be doing this again by taking out large chuncks of the international response and gun control parts of the article while it is still being actively discussed on the talk page. Could you please assess the situation and if appropriate step in? Sad mouse 01:03, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

- Thank you. Sad mouse 16:55, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, also the section was deleted once again by IP 66 45 152 134. I don't know how to check what IP users use, so I won't assume it was Rooot. Sad mouse 17:12, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
YO! EXCUSE ME WIMT!
Please do not introduce any form of vandalism to the userpages of other users, as you did to User:Martial Law. Thank you. Will (aka Wimt) 09:03, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Well I wouldnt if he wasnt a paranoid nut-case. Enough said. That man//woman needs guidance, not Wikipedia admins. And what is so "vandalistic", if you will, asking him to spend his time volounteering at the Red Cross//Red Crescent or other institutions (i mean institutions this man will be more useful at...), instead of wasting valuable time chasing up these so called encounters of the third kind.
I see you get back in 2 days, please reply on your talk page, i look at "mine" once a month.
Regards, Me — Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.80.0.10 (talk)
- Hey - apologies for the delay in the reply. I see that you have been blocked for a week but you will still be able to read this. Let's be very clear about what you need to understand if you want to come back from your block and contribute to Wikipedia constructively. Firstly, regardless of your feelings about a particular user or their actions, you should discuss it with them in a civil way. Vandalising a user page like you did here isn't going to be in any way helpful and has, unsurprisingly, resulted in you being blocked. Furthermore, you don't describe someone as a "paranoid nut-case" as you did above because this is a personal attack and will, as such, result in strong action being taken against you. You should comment on content, not contributors, and focus on staying cool. I hope that your week-long block will give you a chance to consider your actions and realise that they need to change. If not, you're just going to end up getting longer and longer blocks which would be a great waste as there have been many positive contributions from your IP. So think it through. Will (aka Wimt) 18:04, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks.
Thanks for the reverts. I had a feeling that was going to happen when I warned the user for blanking another user's user page. Acalamari 22:55, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for another revert; the vandals are out in force today; well, they are most days, but today they seem to be more active than usual. Acalamari 17:13, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
Question
I'll get back to you WT:RFCN comments tomorrow, but I was wondering if you've thought about running for adminship? I'd be happy to nom you, let me know what you think. Ryan Postlethwaite 23:03, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
- Well have a think about it and let me know, whether you want a nom or a co-nom, I don't mind, but I really think your ready for it. As I said, I'll reply on WT:RFCN, I just haven't got enough bandwidth to load the page tonight. Ryan Postlethwaite 23:22, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

Aloha, Wimt. I'm here to complain. Geez... it's like you read my mind without my permission. I had typed up my response in an outside editor (wanting to avoid edit conflicts) only to find you communicated my thoughts more succinctly and clearly, and beat me to the edit. I've also found myself agreeing with you on other issues recently as well, and you explaining yourself much better than me. I guess great minds (or perhaps "a great mind and a good, but not quite as great mind"?) do think alike. ;-) Anyway, thanks for being a great editor. Mahalo. A hui hou. --Ali'i 13:47, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hey Ali'i. Thanks a lot for the praise! Not sure I quite deserve it, but it's nice to be noticed. I had noticed that we seem to be agreement on lots of issues which must be a good thing. As you say, it's clearly a case of great minds think alike. I'd certainly like to return the compliment to you too, so great work and have a nice day! Will (aka Wimt) 13:59, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. You too. --Ali'i 14:19, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Reporting
This is a Wikimedia Foundation account used by User:WikiBlue. Please DO not report me as "vandalism".. this is not. --WMF-hotwax 17:53, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- And you wish to protect briefs per WP:OFFICE? I wasn't born yesterday. Will (aka Wimt) 17:54, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for taking care of that - the account has been blocked now, pending confirmation, although I agree with you - I highly suspect that it is a vandal account. Thanks! Flcelloguy (A note?) 18:08, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- Heh yeah you're welcome. I'm quite confident that the Foundation is capable of making its accounts admins without making requests at the Bureaucrats' Noticeboard which was what made me suspicious. When I realised they'd put an office tag on briefs though, I became quite convinced. And on the off chance that it is confirmed as an official account, I can't see any harm has been done. Regards. Will (aka Wimt) 18:12, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- Except that I might not ever be allowed OTRS access because I messed with m:Foundation policy. And that's not a real link, but it was linked to in the unblock request. Hmmm. – Rianaऋ 18:15, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hah I wouldn't be too worried myself. I'd think if anything, if it would help your case whether or not it was a Foundation account. After all, we can't just give a free reign any old user who tags a few pages as office and makes a request to be sysopped. Being cautious is always the best approach. Thanks for blocking. Will (aka Wimt) 18:20, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
