[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page The Brian Jackson Show has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \byoutube\.com (links: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tx5ywdxosdo). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. Video links are also strongly deprecated by our guidelines for external links, partly because they're useless to people with slow internet connections.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 16:22, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
As you have written such an eloquent defense of your article, I felt I had to tell you that I read it and understand your reasoning. I have deleted the page nevertheless because, as you admit yourself, there is no reason to assume this show it notable (yet) (see criterion A7 for speedy deletion). lonelygirl15 or KateModern exist here because they provide reliable sources that establish their notability. Unless you can do the same for the aforementioned article (Youtube, Myspace etc. do not count, nor do primary sources like press releases), I am sorry to say that your work was in vain. You might want to read our notability guidelines on web content and create articles for subjects who have received some coverage in reliable sources (notable websites (like IGN) or newspapers for example). If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask me. Regards SoWhy 08:36, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
Reply to SoWhy Re The Brian Jackson Show
[edit]Dear SoWhy
Thank you for your explanation as to why my recent article on The Brian Jackson Show was deleted - I greatly appreciate you taking the time to explain why the said article was removed.
I am pleased that you understand my reasoning for putting the article onto Wikipedia - I wanted to catalogue The Brian Jackson Show as I had privileged access to the local Press Pack as well as a restricted screening of the episodes via a secure link online; I thus - using such privileged information - wished to catalogue the show as early as possible to be one of the first to contribute information in respect of the same.
As the show will soon be released publically, I shall re-construct the article with hopefully further evidence of its notability (I am aware that there will be further coverage of the show in local newspapers as well as online sources - I shall add these sources as soon as they are available).
Regardless of the above, here's my request for re-instating the article in the meantime:
I would be grateful
For the reinstatement of
My said article.
