Need a tiny favor
I'm not sure if this user is allowed to remove the "suspected sockpuppet" message from their talk but they're definitely not allowed to erase your block notice. Since they've done it twice, can you remove talk page access? CityOfSilver 18:45, 18 March 2017 (UTC)

It appears the IP user is right but what are we supposed to do when someone who is apparently editing in violation of a ban does good work accompanied by edit summaries calling others "dumbass," "troll," "vandal," etc.? - @CityOfSilver: Another admin has blocked. One of the reasons I was taking so long is looking for edits that obviously tie the IP to the blocked editor. - FTR, there's about a 100% chance that this IP is an IP sock of Speedy135/Divide223 – a look at the interaction report among the 3 is virtually the only proof you need, but the IP's reverts of others' reverts of Speedy135/Divide223 is the clincher. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 19:25, 18 March 2017 (UTC)

Block question
I know you tend to block sooner and ask questions later (not a criticism, just an observation), but I don't understand this block. The IP hasn't edited in a week, has only received two level one warnings (ever) and the edit filter log doesn't show any hits since March 15th. IP editor evaded your block
Hi, Widr. On March 10, you blocked 71.162.42.75 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) for a week for adding unsourced material to articles. That user has a pattern of adding unsourced material to climateboxes. On March 13, 71.162.32.82 (talk · contribs · WHOIS), from a similar location, added material to climateboxes at Winthrop, Washington and Stanley, Idaho, using http://weatherdb.com as a source (mentioned at User talk:71.162.42.75).
This appears to be a block evasion, although it happened two weeks ago. I'm cleaning up after the editor: whether to block again is up to you. —hike395 (talk) 10:07, 28 March 2017 (UTC)

Just so you know, whenever you see a large list of vandals posted at AIV by an IP... you should revert that IP instead of blocking all of the IPs they listed. Rampant user talk page vandal
Hey! Thanks for your help on shutting down the IP hopping-vandal. There may still be more from him/her, so I'm keeping an eye out for it. So far, the following IPs have been involved in this havoc:

Block of Maleidys Perez
Hi Widr,
I noticed an unblock request by Maleidys Perez whom you have blocked for 72 hours. After going though their edits i am strongly considering upping this to an indef block instead:
- The editor was blocked for 24 hours on on the 12th, yet resumed their vandalism spree before being blocked oncemore today.
- Have a look at Special:Contributions/64.237.232.171 and Special:Contributions/64.237.234.171. Both IP's were vandalizing the Tony the Tiger article using the same mode of vandalism as Maleidys did on the accounts first edits after a couple of months without editing.
- I noticed this IP edit summary and this user edit summary. While it's not direct proof the edit and edit summary are too similar to be a coincidence in my eyes ("Please. i wanna edit again" - Dot after please, lowercase "i" and "wanna" instead of want in both summaries - while both editors involve changing the block time in a block template)
That said, I'd rather not just go ahead and up the block without first leaving a note for the blocking admin though. Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 19:28, 14 April 2017 (UTC)

Hi! I was about to decline the block for 80.2.151.245, as I could not see anything that the editor did that could be classed as vandalism. The section blanking was, as far as I could tell, of sections that were already blank (e.g. this edit). The redirects were because of merging in accordance with agreements made on a talk page (eg this edit). I checked loads of their edits, and couldn't see anything that could be classed as vandalism.
