How can I correct the title of an article I have created ?

[edit]

{{helpme}} I started an article for a film. The article is currently entitled "The Anniversary Film" - As that there are other films entitled The Anniversary in wikipedia, I would like to update the title to make it more unsearchable, conform with any standard film titling conventions, and link to a disambiguation page. Please offer advice I haven't done this much! --Weebleman (talk) 16:09, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Are you thinking of writing about the 1968 British black comedy film directed by Roy Ward Baker? We already have that, in The Anniversary (film) - and it is listed in the disambig page, The Anniversary (disambiguation). (Please answer below; I'll check back here later(struck, see below  Chzz  ►  18:14, 10 June 2009 (UTC)))  Chzz  ►  16:15, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
As a couple of hours have passed, I'll stop 'watching' this page now. So if you do need more help, please either;
  • Leave a message on my own talk page; OR
  • Use a {{helpme}} - please create a new section at the end of your own talk page, put {{helpme}}, and ask your question - remember to 'sign' your name by putting ~~~~ at the end; OR
  • Talk to us live, with this or this.
Best wishes,  Chzz  ►  18:14, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed you've just joined, and wanted to give you a few tips to get you started. If you have any questions, please talk to us. The tips below should help you to get started. Best of luck!  Chzz  ►  16:30, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ようこそ
  • You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
  • Ask for help. Talk to us live, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
  • Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better. For example, Wikipedia:Cleanup#2009.
  • When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.

Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.

There's lots of information below. Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia!

Proposed deletion of The Anniversary (2009 film)

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article The Anniversary (2009 film), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Promotional piece about non-notable film by non-notable director which may or may not even get made (even their website is still under construction); violates WP:CRYSTAL

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Spotlight

[edit]

Hi there. Hopefully you'll remember me, from my trying to help you; well, now it's my turn to ask for help.

I'm trying to help re-launch an idea called "Spotlight". The notion is to select an article and work on it collectively, via live discussion, for one week. If lots of people get involved, it can work really well; in the past, the project died off through lack of participants. Anyone can help out, because that's the whole point - we have many and varied skills, but between us, we can do amazing things. So - please join the channel, and add yourself to the participants in WP:SPOTLIGHT. Thanks for your time!  Chzz  ►  22:27, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article The Anniversary (2009 film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable film, per WP:NF

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
