If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Hackers.mu requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. The article Hackers.mu has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

notability not established

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello. TLS 1.3 is going to become one of the most widely deployed security protocols. Hackers.mu contribution to the development of TLS 1.3 has even been mentioned by the IETF: https://www.ietf.org/blog/2017/12/participating-in-the-ietf-hackathon-from-mauritius/. If we remove this from wikipedia, we are removing the only case of african/Indian Ocean involvement involvement in TLS. The problem of lack of involvement of africa in wikipedia is a known issue. Please note for future contributions that, as should be evident if you look at a number of "good articles" (always a good idea before contributing to any publication), Wikipedia's style manual provides that section headings are written in sentence case, not title case. In other words, in Mauritius, "Information and Communication Technology" was incorrect; I have corrected it to "Information and communication technology." Thanks for your attention to this in the future. - Julietdeltalima (talk) 00:29, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Wedgeantilles0 (talk) 08:51, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I note you have listed this article for deletion via the Articles for Deletion process, yet you have failed to file the deletion request correctly. Upon a closer look, I note you are the creator of the article, and also mention legal threats. Can I ask for an explanation of what you intend to do and also further information on what the alleged threats entail thanks? -- Longhair\talk 13:00, 5 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I have deleted the article at Cyberstorm.mu as a duplicate of the Hackers.mu article. The references within that article also referred to Hackers.mu. Please do not bring off-wiki disputes to Wikipedia and disrupt articles while doing so. -- Longhair\talk 13:21, 5 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Most of the members of hackers.mu have left to start cyberstorm.mu. Please see the article about cyberstorm.mu mentioned in the register here: https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/11/02/ssh_rc4_security/. The owner of the trademark is threatening anybody who makes edits to hackers.mu from Mauritius. Please note that none of the previous members of hackers.mu have signed a transfer of copyright to hackers.mu. Wedgeantilles0 (talk) 13:44, 5 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone can edit Wikipedia, trademarks aside. The references in the Cyberstorm.mu article all referred to the hackers.mu name which is why I've moved the article back and restored the content to the pre-dispute version before any move took place. This issue belongs on the hackers.mu talk page if you two are going to disagree on the article title. Note that legal threats at Wikipedia will see editors blocked if they relate to the editing of articles in any way, or other on-wiki behaviour. -- Longhair\talk 14:01, 5 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thing is, Wedgeantilles0 started a new group with some ex members. If they were quoted somewhere else, make a cyberstorm article and quote it there. Why delete the hackers.mu page? the group is still here. He is using this conversation to try to attack me personally as well now. Pirabarlen (talk) 14:20, 5 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
