Proposed deletion of Major Turner Staubenzie

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Major Turner Staubenzie, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Completely unsourced, Non-notable soldier.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit]

Please do not create articles without providing any sources. Sources are needed to establish the subject of the article's notability (please see WP:N) and verify the material in the article (please see WP:V). Editors have a responsibility to provide sources for all material they add to Wikipedia. Nick-D (talk) 07:23, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of James Willis Hopkins

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article James Willis Hopkins, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Very much suspect hoax, and damned if I didn't try to source this thing. I can't find anything on Google, but just reading this is makes no sense. It's unlikely that a person born in Belfast in the eighteenth century would join the British army. I doubt they recruited from Belfast for the French and Indian war but it seems unlikely.

Please use sources

[edit]

Hello Washingblack. You might notice that several of your articles are being proposed for deletion. This is because your articles have no sources nor any way to verify the information in them. Please also note that creating false historical people and events will very likely get you banned from editing. Providing sources is the way to show that these are real. Thanks, FlyingToaster 21:13, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please also note that marking edits as minor should only be done for very minor things like spelling corrections. //roux   21:17, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
