Your recent edit to Ocean's Thirteen

[edit]

Your recent contribution(s) to the Wikipedia article Ocean's Thirteen are very much appreciated. However, you did not provide references or sources for your information. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a drive to improve the quality of Wikipedia by encouraging editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. If sources are left unreferenced, it may count as original research, which is not allowed. Can you provide in the article specific references to any books, articles, websites or other reliable sources that will allow people to verify the content in the article? You can use a citation method listed at How to cite sources. Thanks! -- weirdoactor t|c 03:56, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edit to Titan Missile Museum

[edit]

It was a fictional "Titan V missle" not a Titan II. They are very similar though.

An editor has nominated List of deceased superheroes, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of deceased superheroes and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. Orphaned non-free image (Image:Rob ABS.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Rob ABS.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Speedy deletion of Tengion, Inc.

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Tengion, Inc. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. ukexpat (talk) 01:26, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on The Rim at La Cantera, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because The Rim at La Cantera is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting The Rim at La Cantera, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. The article Red (TV miniseries) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:CRYSTAL

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. elektrikSHOOS 18:19, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:TVLine.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:TVLine.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 06:06, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Hermosa Earthquake requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Eeekster (talk) 23:42, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. 2016 Democratic National Convention

[edit]

In the delegate table of the 2016 Democratic National Convention article, I manually reverted your adjustment of the totals (though I forgot to note you were apparently acting in good faith). Per the Democrats Abroad primary, 2016 article and its underlying reference at The Green Papers, only superdelegates in the Democrats Abroad delegation cast half-votes; also, those half-votes were already reflected as such in the delegation's total of 17 votes from 21 actual delegates (13 pledged, 8 super). Thus, the total vote count should NOT be adjusted as Democrats Abroad cast only 17 votes. --RBBrittain (talk) 00:13, 27 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'm aware the article subject has asked for assistance with his article and that's fine, just make sure your additions are properly sourced, cited and follow wiki guidelines for articles about living persons. Your recent edit doesn't meet those guidelines; maybe you can do some additional searches to be able to source and cite? Thanks, AUTiger » talk 16:49, 27 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Sorry for that. I'm kind of doing it in a multi-step process; I started on it in the wee morning hours by just doing the infobox. Gonna expand it and cite as properly as possible! --WTRiker (talk) 20:41, 27 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Just going to add that if you're in contact with Zentz and making edits on his behalf, you might also be considered to have a WP:COI with respect to anything written about him on Wikipedia. You should probably taken a look at WP:PSCOI just to familiarize yourself with the types of edits that are generally considered OK for a COI editor to make. Please understand I'm not posting this to accuse you of doing anything wrong, just to make you aware that even an WP:APPARENTCOI can often lead to problems with other editors; so, it's best to familiarize yourself with relevant guidelines and policies. Oh, yeah, no, absolutely. I'm keeping things as neutral as possible. Some of the info (like about his time teaching aspiring Chinese screenwriters) was from a mini-bio he did for the program. It was modified to be WP-friendly, but is largely the same content. Just did a read-through and it appears to be pretty neutral, since it's more of a "filmography-plus" than anything else, minus any inherent promotion that comes with bios of people that aren't Charles Manson. And aren't all young adult novels described as "acclaimed"? :P --WTRiker (talk) 05:15, 29 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Having a COI doesn't necessarily mean you can never edit the article in question again, but being transparent about such a conflict-of-interest (if one exists) may help avoid problems with others down the road. FWIW, Wikipedia only highly discourages COI editing; it doesn't expressly prohibit it like it does with undisclosed paid editing. So, if you can edit/continue to edit in accordance with relevant policies and guidelines and be WP:HERE, then you should have no problems. However, even a WP:APPARENTCOI can lead to a higher degree of scrutiny from others, so you should just be ready for that. Finally, you should also be aware of WP:BLPSELFPUB if you're going to use Stentz himself as a source; it can be done, but there are limitations placed on how the subject of a BLP article may be cited as a source. The general idea is that Wikipedia is for the most part not too interested in what the subject of an article has to say about themselves; it's more interested in what secondary and independent reliable sources are saying about the subject. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:44, 29 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
