Shanghai's early skyscrapers

[edit]

All the early skyscrapers really exist. There's just no Wikipedia article about them.

See: List of outstanding historic buildings of Shanghai https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_outstanding_historic_buildings_of_Shanghai Klausk2 (talk) 20:54, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Provide citations for their notability, then. That list you linked is just as bad as the one I edited. Having been listed on a register that contains, just within Shanghai, "1058 outstanding historic buildings" would lead me to believe simply being listed on there is not sufficient to establish notability for wikipedia purposes. ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:09, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Mass-tagging of scene/emo bands

[edit]

Hi, I'd just like to request that you stop mass tagging these articles for notability. Most of them meet the WP:MUSIC guidelines, and this is just creating a lot of tag maintenance make-work for other editors that would be better put to other uses. Thanks. Chubbles (talk) 03:28, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I am tagging any pages I come across that based on the references given do not meet GNG or WP:MUSIC guidelines. If you think they meet the guidelines, then add reliable sources to demonstrate that in the article. Tagging problematic articles is not just "tag maintenence make-work" - it's the first step before they get a PROD or AFD. Vertigo Acid (talk) 03:32, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Virtually all of the articles you tagged would survive at AfD, some in their current state, even. Your time would be better spent adding reliable sources yourself, but it's your effort to choose how you spend it. Chubbles (talk) 03:33, 13 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
