ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message
Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}

Administrators' newsletter – December 2022
News and updates for administrators from the past month (November 2022).
- Consensus has been found in an RfC to automatically place RfAs on hold after one week.
- The article creation at scale RfC has been closed.
- An RfC on the banners for the December 2022 fundraising campaign has been closed.
- A new preference named "Enable limited width mode" has been added to the Vector 2022 skin. The preference is also shown as a toggle on every page if your monitor is 1600 pixels or wider. When disabled it removes the whitespace added by Vector 2022 on the left and right of the page content. Disabling this preference has the same effect as enabling the wide-vector-2022 gadget. - Eligible users are invited to vote on candidates for the Arbitration Committee until 23:59 December 12, 2022 (UTC). Candidate statements can be seen here.
- The proposed decision for the 2021-22 review of the discretionary sanctions system is open.
- The arbitration case Reversal and reinstatement of Athaenara's block has been closed.
- The arbitration case Stephen has been opened and the proposed decision is expected 1 December 2022.
- A motion has modified the procedures for contacting an admin facing Level 2 desysop.
- Tech tip: A single IPv6 connection usually has access to a "subnet" of 18 quintillion IPs. Add
/64
to the end of an IP in Special:Contributions to see all of a subnet's edits, and consider blocking the whole subnet rather than an IP that may change within a minute.
Pending changes reviewer granted
Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.
Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

Gus McLeod's Placement on TAR 6
Are you sure that it's irrelevant to bring up what place he and his daughter came in when they competed on The Amazing Race? His wikipedia page is already a stub without much content, so it felt like a reasonable thing to add. In addition, most contestants with Wikipedia pages mention what place they came in. 212.77.213.61 (talk) 09:34, 20 December 2022 (UTC)
- Well I know that the article is a stub, but I thought of it as necessary. If you say that the article needed an additional information (regarding about a contestant), then that’s all right with me. --Vaco98 (talk) 10:26, 20 December 2022 (UTC)
- So, would it be fine if I reworded the article to mention more about his appearance on The Amazing Race?
- Also, his date of birth is September 9th, 1954 according to the Amazing Race Wiki. Could that be edited too?

- Yes. It would be fine. --Vaco98 (talk) 15:32, 20 December 2022 (UTC)

Take care when accepting pending changes
Hello, you accepted this edit on Religion in Sweden, which changed percentages without any updated reference. Please make sure edits you accept on protected articles follow policies like WP:CITE. Cheers. TylerBurden (talk) 02:44, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
- @TylerBurden:, thank you for informing me about it. I am deeply sorry that I accepted it, when I should have declined it. I'll be more careful. --Vaco98 (talk) 02:48, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
- No problem, we all make mistakes, happy editing. TylerBurden (talk) 02:50, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
- It is most certainly true that we all make mistakes, but as for myself however; I have always been a dedicated editor since I first joined here a year ago. --Vaco98 (talk) 02:55, 31 December 2022 (UTC)

- I don’t think I have it in me to trust you. Your edit was certainly not constructive. I know what’s constructive and non-constructive. --Vaco98 (talk) 12:35, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
FW parker
So you are in favor of a school that grooms kids? 71.186.186.35 (talk) 11:21, 24 January 2023 (UTC)
- No and your edit (from what I saw) is considered unconstructive. --Vaco98 (talk) 11:23, 24 January 2023 (UTC)
