Do check the article again now, to see one way to leave a succinct version of the section taken from the main article. Ordinarily, when one slices away a section to make a new article, it is because one has a great deal of material to add, which would unbalance the main article. Often, cannibalizing articles into small bits is a sign of "dictionary thinking". The article Maestà could certainly use some improvement to make it more complete and encyclopedic. --Wetman 05:55, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I see your point, however, as you say, the execution is not there yet. e.g. the whereabouts of Duccio's panels are not relevant to an article on the iconographic theme of the enthroned Madonna. I will try to rework the original article into a version we'll both be happy with... thx. Twirling 12:38, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that's getting a bit off-topic. The article should stick to the iconographic development. --Wetman 13:50, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Paintings

[edit]

Hi there. I am looking to have an article on most paintings on wikipedia - there are tens of thousands missing. It would be superb if you could help. I have been adding the paitings of Corot. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Expecting you" Contribs 18:39, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
