James Joynton Smith
[edit]If he was the mayor of Sydney, Australia, that should make him notable by itself, and should be a valuable contribution to the encyclopedia. It's just that when looking over new pages that are created it's much more helpful to see people create pages that do cite their sources.--h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 10:14, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of R.J. Bartley
[edit]A tag has been placed on R.J. Bartley requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Fatal!ty (T☠LK) 10:30, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
AfD nomination of R.J. Bartley
[edit]I have nominated R.J. Bartley, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/R.J. Bartley. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Fatal!ty (T☠LK) 10:46, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
- As reviewing administrator, I regret that the above nominations had ever been placed -- it was among a large group nominated for deletion contrary to policy by a user who has now been blocked for doing so, by consensus of several administrators at WP:AN/I. Deletion has been prevented at both speedy and AfD, and please feel free to remove the notice. DGG (talk) 18:07, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Troyon! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 1 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

File source problem with File:Aerial Victoria Park.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Aerial Victoria Park.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
ATTENTION: This is an automated, BOT-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate your file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 03:00, 6 November 2016 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:CityRail new logo.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:CityRail new logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:12, 1 February 2017 (UTC)
