Welcome!

[edit]
Hi, Trace13est, and Welcome to Wikipedia!

Welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you enjoy the encyclopedia and want to stay. Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read about the simplified ruleset. There are thousands of ways to get help on Wikipedia, and I personally recommend the Wikipedia:Boot_Camp, where you can even chat online with fellow Wikipedians willing to help! In addition, Wikipedia also has thousands of pages dedicated to the use of Wikipedia, for example, if you need help on how to title new articles check out the naming conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style. Also, feel free to post them on my user talk page - I'm happy to answer any questions you have.

Additional tips

[edit]

Here are some extra tips to help you get around in Wikipedia:

  • If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
  • You can sign your name using three tildes (~). If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. If your keyboard doesn't have tildes (or for whatever reason) you can also click the button on the bar above the editing section.
  • You may want to add yourself to the new user log.
  • If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
  • If you're still entirely confused, or would like to get a better grasp of your wikipedia skills, and you have an IRC client (or don't mind getting one), check out the Bootcamp. It's not what it sounds like, but it is fun and can help you with your editing skills.

Dear Trace13est, you did very good editing of the above-mentioned article. I've been recently there. The place is magic and relaxing. I like in Brooklyn, New York City that's why ... when a tour takes me to such places as Hillstead. I always use my camera, to capture those unforgettable moment. As you can see, U added some photos to the article.

  • As I guess from your other articles, you live somewhere in that vicinity. You are very respectful to your native places, since you write articles about them. I am also such. I love to write artincle about neighborhoods of Brooklyn where I live now, where I lived before, etc.

I love to add photos there:

and many many more. And generally speaking, every place which I visited deserves my attention in WIKIpedia. I wish you the same. THANKS GK tramrunner 01:27, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited June Duprez, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Thief of Bagdad (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Hello, I'm Echoedmyron. I noticed that you recently removed content from John Lennon without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.
