The Fuel and Trigger model suggests that there is an existing attribute of a human being (which is the fuel) and there is an external agent (that is the trigger) which when combined is responsible for the actions to create an event and if the fuel can be separated from the trigger, then the event can be mitigated. The model was first demonstrated by Amartya Deb at the National Conference on Mind and Management (2013) held at University School of Management Studies, New Delhi to argue that human actions are merely expressions of human emotions. A systematic breakdown of the chain of events that occurred prior to the Chicago race riot of 1919 was used to establish the utility of the idea.

Background

[edit]

Several studies and ideas have been carried out across the world to study human emotions, focused on bringing out a hierarchical dimension of the emotions and subsequently to segregate and categorize the existing emotions into types like positive and negative. With that as base, the concept of ‘Fuel and Trigger’ provides a framework to predict the reactions that might stem from them. The principle thought behind the idea is that any reaction or an event is linked to the human emotions or attributes which are root causes behind occurrence of events.

The concept of “Fuel and Trigger” was essentially intended to be used as an analytical tool to understand the past events with respect to the human feeling that had caused them. The scope of the concept lies in the right interpretation of the fuel and trigger in a given event or a series of events. It has been argued to hold potential to help determine the course of action that must be taken to increase the tolerance of the society to the occurrence of negative events (like riots, murders, wars etc.) and reduce the magnitude of adverse effects caused by them.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Fuel and Trigger Model requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.academia.edu/6615678/Fuel_and_Trigger_Mitigating_Negative_Measurable_Impacts_of_Social_Behavior. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I was trying to figure out what the talk pages meant. At least I learnt that. Please feel free to delete the page Bear and Idiot Romance. I could not manage to do it. Thanks. (Tonrene (talk) 06:02, 9 August 2018 (UTC))[reply]

Tonrene, unless you or your book receive a major, notable literary prize, it will never meet Wikipedia criteria for inclusion. There is little sense in moving it to draft space, it will get deleted there too. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 05:26, 9 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, okay. Cool. I'll create the page in Wiki after an award. Thanks again for your time, all others too. (Tonrene (talk) 06:00, 9 August 2018 (UTC))[reply]
Hey Tonrene. In order for the subject to qualify for a Wikipedia article it needs to meet our standards for notability, which requries sustained in-depth coverage in reliable independent sources (see also Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources). For books, this normally means things like in-depth book reviews in major publications, and mainstream industry awards. This excludes things like self-published blogs and content created by the book's publisher. In order to qualify for a page on Wikiquote, a subject generally should already have an article on Wikipedia, or clearly qualify for one in the case one has not yet been written.
If the book receives this type of coverage in the future, the it may be appropriate to recreate the article, but until then, we will have to wait until such coverage exists. GMGtalk 12:38, 9 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hey GMGtalk thanks for the links. I will keep the notability standards in mind and will look forward to that time. (Tonrene (talk) 12:34, 19 August 2018 (UTC))[reply]

File permission problem with File:AmartyaDebCatherineGardens.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:AmartyaDebCatherineGardens.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. A tag has been placed on Draft:Spatio-economic Development Record (1994 - 2018), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. An article you recently created, Spatio-economic Development Record (1994 - 2018), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
