这个页面的重要度是中。
Note: This time, the "Wikimedia Foundation highlights" section does not include the usual coverage of the most notable work of Foundation staff during that month. Instead, it contains a list of talks given by Foundation staff at Wikimania, summarizing their most important work the year over. It looks like a lot of text, but only the talk titles will need to be translated. The intention is that these titles alone can already give readers a good overview of what the Foundation is working on in general.

The Tea Leaf - Issue Six
Hi! Welcome to the sixth edition of The Tea Leaf, the official newsletter of the Teahouse!
- Teahouse serves over 700 new editors in six months on Wikipedia! Since February 27, 741 new editors have participated at the Teahouse. The Q&A board and the guest intro pages are more active than ever.
- Automatic invites are doing the trick: 50% more new editors visiting each week. Ever since HostBot's automated invite trial phase began we've seen a boost in new editor participation. Automating a baseline set of invitations also allows Teahouse hosts to focus on serving hot cups of help to guests, instead of spending countless hours inviting.
- Guests to the Teahouse continue to edit more & interact more with other community members than non-Teahouse guests according to six month metrics. Teahouse guests make more than twice the article edits and edit more talk pages than other new editors.
- New host process implemented which encourages anyone to get started as a Teahouse host in a few easy steps. Stop by the hosts page and become a Teahouse host today!
- Host lounge renovations nearing completion. Working closely with Teahouse hosts, we've made some major renovations to the Teahouse Host Lounge - the main hangout and resource space for hosts. Learn more about the improvements here.
As always, thanks for supporting the Teahouse project! Stop by and visit us today!

Unblock IP

Request reason:
Requesting an IP block exemption. As a mainland China editor I often need to use VPNs to bypass the Great Firewall of China. 64.71.163.118 is one of my VPN's IP. According to the error message, it was blocked because it was used by User:Fragments of Jade. tOMG 21:06, 15 September 2012 (UTC)
Accept reason:
exemption granted by checkuser. Beeblebrox (talk) 16:20, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
- You may be waiting a while for a useful response unless you clarify the alphabet soup in your request. A lot of us admins don't know a lot of the technical stuff, we work with behavior. Beeblebrox (talk) 21:28, 15 September 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing out. I've modified my request and added some wikilinks to make it at least easier to read... --tOMG 21:35, 15 September 2012 (UTC)
- Ahhh, I Get it now, thanks for clarifying. As you do appear to be a constructive user with a clean block log I am personally inclined to grant this request. However, the block was placed by a checkuser and admins are instructed to consult with them first in such circumstances. Please be patient, this sometimes takes a day or two to get done depending on how many CUs are available. Beeblebrox (talk) 01:37, 16 September 2012 (UTC)
- You should have an email from the CU reviewing this case. Beeblebrox (talk) 08:57, 16 September 2012 (UTC)

Hey Tommyang/Archives/2012. This will be, if not our final newsletter, one of the final ones :). After months of churning away at this project, our final version (apart from a few tweaks and bugfixes) is now live. Changes between this and the last release include deletion tag logging, a centralised log, and fixes to things like edit summaries.
Hopefully you like what we've done with the place; suggestions for future work on it, complaints and bugs to the usual address :). We'll be holding a couple of office hours sessions, which I hope you'll all attend. Many thanks, Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 11:10, 24 September 2012 (UTC)

This letter is a new translation request, but re-uses large parts of the 2011 Jimmy Appeal, with slight modifications in the second version.
If the 2011 Jimmy Letter has been translated into your language, you can probably re-use much of it for this translation. :-)Your help is greatly appreciated. Translators like you help Meta to function as a truly multilingual community.
