DYK for Jewish Orphanage Berlin-Pankow
[edit]On 16 June 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Jewish Orphanage Berlin-Pankow, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the Jewish Orphanage of Berlin-Pankow was originally intended to be a home for refugee children who escaped pogroms after the assassination of Alexander II of Russia? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Jewish Orphanage Berlin-Pankow. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

The article List of East German Authors has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- There are no qualifying inclusion criteria for this list, a list full of presumed non notable people. A definition of how an author is included might help, but substantially tighter definition is required for membership criteria. What is an East German Author, and when did this term come into being and cease to be? Content must be pruned to those who are inherently notable. WIthout these two items the list cannot remain here. There are also no references. Those must also exist
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Fiddle Faddle 08:29, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
- The thing about this article is that it is, at present, a poor article. Add the things that need to be added and it moves into the realms of being a decent article. Do that and enjoy removing the PROD yourself. Referring to the German language wikipedia is useless, I'm afraid. They are two separate entities. At the end of the PROD period an admin will come along and, if they agre with my rationale, will delete the article. if they do not then they will not. If you have made the improvements then you will have removed the notice and all will be well. Unless, of course, someone, anyone, renominates it, something that may happen at any time.
