Editing pages

I have been trying to remove a redirect that has been removing all traffic away from the new article I am writing. I may have done this in a wrong way, but I want you to take away your last warning, I have not been doing any vandalism at all. Since my article is on an application using a superconductor, it fits perfectly into the Josephson Junction article with a line on where there is a technical application of Josephson Junction and you should let this edit stay. Janolaf30 (talk) 23:48, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

All resolved. Thanks for the notice. Techman224Talk 23:55, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

regarding wadsworth

This is a college IP adress and multiple students get on here and do edits. I noticed the first comment about wadsworth and read the article. Citation is needed. Dont remove that. I did not make whatever it was that was vandalizing the page prior. Once again, this IP is shared. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.133.129.129 (talk) 17:23, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

The article claims that General Elijah Wadsworth founded wadsworth, but does not cite any source to prove this. Im not saying this is not true, but simply that it needs cited. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.133.129.129 (talk) 17:34, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Sorry about that, removed warning. Techman224Talk 17:36, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

I see. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.133.129.129 (talk) 17:38, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Regarding edits on BACK-ON's Wikipedia page :)

Hi there, just wanted to clarify that the information is from the band's official website (http://www.back-on.com) and when I edited the album section before (22nd Oct), this information was not officially available.

Thanks for checking though! :)

Kind Regards, Flick (a fan of BACK-ON who can't remember her Wiki login)

You used non-english characters when you edited it. That's why I've reverted it. Just avoid using non-english characters here. Thanks. Techman224Talk 01:18, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the suggestion. :) I can why this would cause concern. In this instance, I had to use non-English characters here as the band is from Japan, so some of their song titles are Japanese. I will be sure to add in the romaji of each song title for the next edit though. Thanks! 81.158.235.158 (talk) 02:02, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

How is that vandalism

Not vandalism smart one? --Common days (talk) 00:56, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

It is. Give me a reliable source and I'll accept it, and just stop doing vandalism. I know your account was just created today. Techman224Talk 00:59, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Careful! :)

Hey there. Just a reminder to be careful when using huggle, as it's easy to go to fast (I do it too!). You performed this reversion, which ended up restoring the vandalism. Happy huggling! :P Ale_Jrbtalk 20:40, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

About Gill (Street Fighter 3)

I already knew that my little talk about Gill wasn't formatted correctly. Heck, I explicitly said it. I only mentioned it because you claimed that Gill was "virtually impossible" when it came to achieving a perfect against him. However, this isn't true. Why? Look at the following:

Second Impact: Use Sean. If you can somehow get close to Gill, do a HP/HK --> weak Tackle --> throw. Rinse and repeat.

Third Strike: Use a shoto, preferably Ken. If you can somehow get Gill on the ground, you can immediately do the "shoryuken" trick that I mentioned before.

Please note that I found these out ON MY OWN -- important little info because it just shows I've done it; it's doable. Also, I'm pretty sure that there are other ways to get perfects on him.

Either remove the sentence about how achieving a perfect on him is "virtually impossible", or incorporate the above info that will flow with the paragraph.

Thanks.

I have reverted it because it wasn't put in the right place, when I use Huggle, it reverts and puts a warning on the user's talk page. What you put down should be put on the talk page. Techman224Talk 00:59, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

Hey I would love for your help! Do what ever you would like to help me on this project. I am putting my article up for peer review and it is due by Nov. 18th. So please Help me all that you can. Thanks --Amitampocco (talk) 12:52, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Adoption Request?

Hey, I was wondering if you were still looking to adopt a user. I've gotten most of the basics, like tagging articles for deletion, down. However, there is still a lot of stuff that I could use help with. Get back to me whenever you have time. Thanks! TheXenocide (talk) 23:42, 15 November 2008 (UTC)

Of course. I will. Thanks. Techman224Talk 23:44, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
Ok, here are just a few questions off the top of my head. How does one change their signature? Is there a certain way to find user boxes? Is it worth using a program like Twinkle, and if so how do I download it and work it? I'm sure I'll think of a few more as I go along, but those are the ones I've been wondering about recently. Thanks. TheXenocide (talk) 00:06, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
Alright, slightly confused about the signatures, but I'm sure I'll get it soon. For the future, when I want to ask a question should I post it on your page and respond there, or something else? TheXenocide (talk) 02:24, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

The Bot's behavin'

Greets. Your bot is adding the the wrong article translation to the PowerPC G4 article. It keeps linking ml:പവര്‍_മാക്_ജി4 which is the Malaysian equvalent of Power Mac G4. -- Henriok (talk) 11:18, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

And it links Rectification (geometry) to fr:Rectification (mécanique), which is totally unrelated. (Two other bots did it, and I hoped removing the reciprocal link would cure it.) —Tamfang (talk) 03:29, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Well I certainly didn't change it. Perhaps it was the IP that did, and it belonged to someone else at the time. My ISP does things like that, because I cheap out on the service. I apologize for this inconvenience. 67.55.21.136 (talk) 19:58, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Hey techman224, if you get a chance, could you take a look at Stephen H. Gloucester and possibly remove the non-notable/speedy delete tag? I don't want to spend any more time on it if it's going to get deleted. I'm guessing a bot put the tag there? The guy is pretty obviously notable. fintler (talk) 20:02, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

November 23, 2008

Hey, just stopping by to ask you another question. I came by a new page today while I was patrolling, Wehn the Deer Wore Blue. This article appears to be about an actual album, and the artist has their own page, so I know it's notable. However, the title of the page should be "When", not "Wehn", and I can't seem to find any way to change this myself. What should I do in cases such as this? Gracias. :) TheXenocide (talk) 23:34, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

Oh wow, I didn't even realize what the move button was. Thanks for the help. TheXenocide (talk) 20:53, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Got a few question for ya

Things seem to be moving along nicely for me right now. I feel like I've gotten most of the basics down, and am understanding more about the inner workings. I do, however, have a few questions; firstly, regarding my talk page, I was wondering if you could explain how archives work and if and when I should set one up. Next, I never really understood when you told me about how to change my signature; if you could explain this to me again, in more simple terms, I would appreciate it (I'm slow with this stuff!). And finally, when do you think I should request rollback? I ask because I tried using Huggle, as tagging and warning are starting to seem more tedious, and it said that rollback was required to operate it. Huggle seems like the best application to me, but then again I don't really know about any of them; do you have any preferences in regards to programs? Thanks! TheXenocide (talk) 02:34, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

What IRC client do you think I should get? I don't know anything about IRCs. TheXenocide (talk) 01:54, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
I use Windows XP. Also, I just got Twinkle and everything seems to be working fine. I just have one question about it though; when you use the rollback (VANDAL) option to revert something, does it automatically warn the user, or do you have to warn the user yourself?
There may be many reasons to undo, so no, it's not automatic – though I gather that there are bots to make it easier. —Tamfang (talk) 22:27, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
Alright, I've got everything with Twinkle down. What do you think I should do with regards to talk page archives?

I was just granted rollback, and am starting to use Huggle. Jeeze, all these edits are hard to handle at once. TheXenocide (talk) 01:28, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Kilts

You removed the uniform addition on the Notre Dame high school wiki page? It was actually an important part of the schools history. Kilts were implemented with shorts in 2003.

In 50 years from now people are going to be asking about this and how it happened and it should be listed on the wiki.

What's your point of view on this? (talk) Feb 08, 2009

Upper Wickham Lane - Addition of reference to Kate Bush

My rationale for adding the reference to Kate Bush was;

a) She is a reknowned singer in the UK and Europe, having being 'discovered' by Dave Gilmour of Pink Floyd.

b) The fact that Gibson's Farm was the singer's childhood home is a well known fact locally, and has been confirmed by the singer herself - see ^ "Kate Bush". Fruityjon's edits

Hi there. I noticed this little back and forth and wanted to chime in regarding Fruityjon's edits to the Tom Holmes page. He's taking his own reference out of context. In the reference, Tom Holmes is not coming out of the sexuality closet; he is coming out of the nationalism closet. It's a somewhat disruptive maneuver, and coupled with his only other non-talk-related edit, begins to establish that he is vandalizing with an agenda.
