Bearded Dragons?

I'm new at this wikipedia thing. Well Adenovirus is becoming widespread in the American Breeding of Bearded dragons and its super contagious (think parvo in dogs) and works something like AIDS in humans, it weakens the immune system and they often die, however some can just be carriers and have no symptoms.

I'd like to get some people who know about the disease and start a wikipage just for Adeno in Bearded Dragons because more people need to know about it.TariStar (talk) 18:05, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

I copied your message here, but you can reply where ever you like. We should add that info to Bearded Dragon, the first thing to do is get some information on the disease. This should be in a published source, in a book or a journal, the web is good too, and use the most reliable one for a reference. I searched google and found this paper, An outbreak of adenoviral infection in inland bearded dragons, and there was lots of discussion on reptile sites and blogs. There is a group on wikipedia (a wikiproject) that might be able to help with this: Wikipedia:WikiProject Amphibians and Reptiles. I have doing a bit with the article lately, because it needs some changes to fit into this encyclopedia. One of the things I've done is make a new page at Wikibooks, which will eventually go into the book on caring for pets. The information can be added there as well. These dragons are lovely creatures, I have seen them in the wild. It's great you want to help with the page, let me know if you need to shown how to contribute something. I have asked a few people I know that know a lot more than I do on the subject and have created a new page here specifically for the topic of Adeno in bearded dragons.
