Thanks for all of this information. It's very helpful. With pages like AT&T and Verizon, how is the promotional aspect of these articles different from the encyclopedia information? I was trying to use these as examples because they look like quality articles. Are there any other tips that may be helpful? Thanks again.

Status and Advice
[edit]Actually, the entire article seems a copyvio from their web site, and is furthermore very highly promotional. As reviewing administrator, I have deleted it on both counts. This is the third time it has been deleted--please do not try again unless you can do a proper article. There seems to be sufficient third party sources to show that the company is notable, so an article is possible. If I thought it were not, I would have protected against re-creation.
You need to write like an encyclopedia article, not a press release. .. Don't talk about the overall importance of the subject--talk about what it has accomplished. Remember not to copy from a web site -- first it's a copyright violation, but, even if you give us permission according to WP:DCM, the tone will not be encyclopedic and the material will not be suitable. And this was exactly the case . Do not include material that would be of interest only to those associated with the organization, or to prospective clients--that sort of content is considered promotional.
As a general rule, a suitable page will be best written by someone without Conflict of Interest; it's not impossible to do it properly with a conflict of interest or as a paid press agent, but it's relatively more difficult: you are automatically thinking in terms of the organization wishes to communicate to the public, but an uninvolved person will think in terms of what the public might wish to know. If you think you can do it right according to our guidelines, do so, but expect the article to be carefully checked for objectivity.
I do not want to discourage you, but to urge you to write a proper article if it is possible; if it is not yet possible, please help us by improving our other articles on related topics. DGG ( talk ) 04:02, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
