The article Café Connect has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 19:13, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
Your speedy delete tags
[edit]Dang, you're fast. That's two or three today you've beat me to. Good job. Philippe Beaudette 19:19, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks man, i just started out today - i feel i should give something back to wiki after all its given me!
SurferSam 19:24, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- One thing I might suggest - generally, I put the speedy at the top of the page so it's quickly visible... you might try that. Keep up the great work! Philippe Beaudette 19:27, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the tip! Feel free to let me know if there's anything i'm doing right/wrong - like i said im new to this side of wiki so any advice would be greatly received!

I'm not sure that one qualifies for speedy under the notability requirements. 50 CDs and a national award strikes me as notable... I'd almost suggest that one go to AfD, instead of speedy. Philippe Beaudette 20:28, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello SurferSam! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 5 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

New deal for page patrollers
[edit]Hi SurferSam,
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
