[edit]Hello, I'm Donald Albury. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Cowboy, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Donald Albury 15:31, 4 April 2020 (UTC)
The first section covers the topic extensively. I thought ledes weren’t supposed to have too many citations, are they not supposed to summarize the article. At this point the lede doesn’t mention Western movies, books, or music at all. Which I find incredibly odd. Sunspotter (talk) 21:38, 4 April 2020 (UTC)
- The lead should summarize the major points of the article. While there is some discussion of the development of the image of the
cowboy and the place of the cowboy in popular culture, I do not think your edit was a good summary of what is in the article, and came too early in the lead. May I suggest that you propose wording for an addition to the lead on Talk:Cowboy, and see what other editors have to say. - !!!!
