Hi Sub31k, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like it here and decide to stay. Because I saw you are working on spaceflight-related articles, I thought the general intro, spaceflight collaboration and the Constellation program pages would be helpful to you. Happy editing! Hi CactiStaccingCrane! I remember coming across you a few times in the past. I'm probably going to be very on-again off-again too. Thanks for the welcome (even if it be misplaced a little in time :)) Sub31k (talk) 04:52, 14 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey,

I saw you removed some of my images that were used under the free copyright standard her on the wiki. Why did you do that? Each picture was my own work because I edited the picture to better present the pictures. Señor Jakob (talk) 01:07, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Unfortunately, editing an existing, non-free image does not make it an original work.
We may refer to c:Commons:FAQ#Can I upload scans and images of others I modified?, which tells us that we cannot, by editing an image, turn it into an original work. We still require permission from the original creator, which we do not have. I hope this helps make clear why I removed the images. Sub31k (talk) 01:20, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. Thank you for deleting the pictures then! I will try to find additional ones that allow posting. Thanks! Señor Jakob (talk) 01:25, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! Good luck and thank you for being on wiki. It makes a difference! Sub31k (talk) 01:26, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! That means a lot.
Blue Orgin has a page where you can download pictures. They request that you give credit. Would this meet the Wiki standard? https://www.blueorigin.com/news/gallery Señor Jakob (talk) 01:29, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, no. As they are not explicitly freely licensed, they must be assumed to carry copyright. It can be tough to find free media, sometimes, so don't worry if there's not much that meets the criteria. Sub31k (talk) 02:10, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I reverted my edit. Sorry about that. Señor Jakob (talk) 02:40, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Comparison of orbital launch systems

[edit]

Who do you think you are to remover many of my hard-working edits??? Does were perfectly fine and if you have a problem with them, talk to me before reverting. If it isnt clear im reverting ur stupid edits. 109.78.1.85 (talk) 18:22, 12 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I appreciate and respect your concern.
I made the following changes at Comparison of orbital launch systems:
  • Switched image from Falcon Heavy, which is not an especially prolific vehicle (and moreover no longer holds records for most powerful operating) to Soyuz-U, the carrier rocket with the most launches in history (and by a very wide margin).
  • Changed notation for reuse from colour-italic scheme to a dedicated column. This way, the tables can be sorted by reusability. Also, it is accessibility-friendly - the failed FL nomination from 2018 mentioned the use of colour as an accessibility concern. If colour use is still desired, the Reuse column can have background-color styles set!
I hope this clarifies why I made my edits. Moreover, I do not believe that I removed any content or contributions by you, nor did I revert any changes published by anyone other than myself.
Additionally, I could not have talked to you prior to today, as your IP contribs page doesn't show any activity before yesterday. Sub31k (talk) 18:43, 12 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wow! I am impressed, thank you. 109.78.1.85 (talk) 16:18, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Gruimorphae

[edit]

As far as I know, only Prum et al. (2015) recovered Aequorlitornithes, and the Gruimorphae clade of Jarvis et al. (2014) also appear in Kuhl et al, (2021)[1] and there are possible intermediate fossils like Nahmavis. I think that it will be more plausible for the moment to leave Gruimorphae as the main clade. --Ornithodiez (talk) 16:08, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've already removed Aequorlitornithes and set the parent of Charadriiformes to Neoaves, following Braun and Kimball (2021) in interpreting Charadriiformes as part of an unresolved polytomy at the base of Aves. We've seen that the confidence of Gruimorphae is weak, as are those of other charadriiform affinities, so the Neoaves parent also reflects the low confidence of any placement. Let me know what you think.
Sub31k (talk) 16:20, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps letting the classification reflect that both Charadriiformes and Gruiformes are part, for the moment, of an unresolved polytomy, with only Neoaves as a certainty.[2] --Ornithodiez (talk) 16:24, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yep! Hopefully this is a satisfactory arrangement. Sub31k (talk) 16:29, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm goign to do the same for Gruiformes. --Ornithodiez (talk) 16:30, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
OOPS - I just remembered that both Charadriiformes and Gruiformes are part of a clade exclusive of Columbaves (and also various other clades depending on the phylogeny), and that the confusion takes place within this clade often in comparison to at Neoaves. Passerea is the name often given to this group. Is it worth considering? Sub31k (talk) 17:37, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Taxobox

[edit]

Yes, it's a pleasure to help. I was going to leave a notification on this page for you after I had a little something to eat. One of several reasons why it was better to move the taxobox page is because the misspelled page is template protected. By moving the page, the protection follows the page move and the new page is also protected. That's just one of several reasons why it's better to do a page move in cases like this. Thank you for your help with Wikipedia! P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'er there 15:22, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for undertaking the move. I'll make sure to follow these guidelines in the future. Have a great day! Sub31k (talk) 16:34, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
