Sorry but I'm unsure what you mean. About 90 per cent of the edit was to remove unused parameters from the football boxes which are sometimes automatically inserted by the visual editor. The rest was to remove country links per MOS:GEOLINK and to use the stadium names as they were known at the time of the competition so no "official and correct information" was "eliminated", to use your terminology.
