Undiscussed move(s)
[edit]I moved back an article to the name Klokot (you previously moved it to Klokot (settlement)). Such a move was not useful for two reasons: (a) there is nothing else titled "Klokot" in Wikipedia, so there is nothing to disambiguate, (b) even if there were an article about Bosnian Klokot, this one is clearly a WP:primary topic. Similar thing happened with your move of Vitina to Vitina (town), it was loved back by Amakuru. Please, do not make such moved in the future. Vanjagenije (talk) 13:57, 15 February 2017 (UTC)
Undiscussed move(s) again
[edit]I see that you are again moving pages without any discussion and contrary to Wikipedia policies. You moved Kovačica to Kovačica (town) although the town is the clear WP:Primary topic and does not need any disambiguation. Please, move it back. Vanjagenije (talk) 11:04, 15 April 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:

Please stop changing primary topic redirects
[edit]Please stop changing redirects like Romanov and Habsburg to point to disambiguation pages without discussion. These are well-established redirects in accordance with the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC guideline. If you think an individual redirect should be changed because it is not actually the primary topic, please use WP:RM to discuss the move. Technically, the correct solution in such a case is to propose to move the disambiguation page to the primary topic title. That is, you should propose to move Habsburg (disambiguation), not change the target of Habsburg. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 10:19, 6 May 2017 (UTC) '
Requesting a move in the future
[edit]Hello. In response to this message, I discussed Pontus with another person, who performed the move. If you like, you can try WP:RMTR, which takes your request on moves that do not require discussion. WP:RM#CM process can be used if a move requires or needs a discussion. --George Ho (talk) 09:56, 21 June 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion declined: KK Swisslion Takovo Lions Vrsac
[edit]Hello SrpskiAnonimac. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of KK Swisslion Takovo Lions Vrsac, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: not a reason for speedy deletion, use WP:RFD to delete. Thank you. —Kusma (t·c) 20:27, 4 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Kusma: That are two different names for KK Radnički Kragujevac:
- --SrpskiAnonimac (talk) 21:49, 4 August 2017 (UTC)
- That is a good argument for deletion via WP:RFD, but not sufficient for speedy deletion without discussion. —Kusma (t·c) 05:58, 5 August 2017 (UTC)
RFD
[edit]Hi! I imagine that with this edit you could have been meaning to nominate a redirect for discussion. If that is indeed the case, you should follow the instruction at the top of WP:RFD. But please note that Aramaic (disambiguation) is not a redirect and hence RfD isn't the place for discussing it. Maybe it was instead a requested move that you had in mind? – Uanfala 23:19, 5 August 2017 (UTC)
Superfluous hatnotes
[edit]I have again reverted the hatnotes you added to Mandarin Chinese and Standard Chinese. As outlined at Wikipedia:Hatnote, the purpose of a hatnote is to help a reader who has arrived at an article by mistake find the article they were searching for. No-one who searches for "Mandarin Chinese" or "Standard Chinese" would actually be looking for any of the other things listed at Mandarin (disambiguation) (see WP:NAMB). Ancient Age
[edit]I'm not so sure I agree with your move of the Ancient Age article and redirecting that title to Ancient history. I rather doubt that people encounter "Ancient Age" (with capitalization of the word "Age") very often when they aren't talking about whiskey. —BarrelProof (talk) 19:36, 8 September 2017 (UTC)
Kosovo municipalities
[edit]Hi. Please refrain from re-populating the infobox template of the selected Kosovo municipalities articles with native name in Serbian and Albanian language. Such information is already given in the lead section of the article, and it makes infoboxes less readable with duplication of content as it is in the case of North Mitrovica: 1.--AirWolf talk 22:42, 30 September 2017 (UTC)
Gana (nickname) moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Gana (nickname), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. ... discospinster talk 03:42, 16 January 2018 (UTC)

Sevojno
[edit]Hi! I have noticed your recent edits on Sevojno's article. Please, do not remove or replace "urban municipality" settlement descriptions with "city municipality" or such. The correct form for (in Serbian) "gradska opština" is "urban municipality" and not the latter. I have made the same mistake a while ago when editing Belgrade's urban and suburban municipalities. Also, we should reflect the recent (2013) administrative changes, which made Sevojno one of the two urban municipalities of the city of Užice. If you have any questions, leave me a message on my talk page. Bye!--AirWolf talk 12:05, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
Municipalities
[edit]It is not up to me to rename (move) these articles, but I have request administrator's action about it. Thanks for the notice.--AirWolf talk 16:08, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hi, I have requested administrator's action for these articles that we have discussed about. It should be done soon. As far as for capitalization of letters in "urban/suburban municipality", in my opinion there shouldn't be a capitalization, only if it happens to be the first letter in a sentence or a title. Bye.--AirWolf talk 15:42, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
- Instead, after some revision, we should stick to the city municipalities until some discussion about the proper translation of "gradska opština" (in Serbian) starts. For any suggestions, please write at my talk page.--AirWolf talk 20:28, 4 March 2018 (UTC)

Marking sensitive edits as minor
[edit]Please mark your edits as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor".
In particular, marking this change to Gjilan as *minor* will raise eyebrows. The proper description of places in Kosovo has been the subject of nationalist edit warring in the past. Consider posting at Talk:Gjilan to see if others support your change. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 15:46, 16 May 2018 (UTC)
The article Indic languages (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Indic languages redirects to Indo-Aryan languages which begins with the hatnote:
"Indic languages" redirects here. It is not to be confused with Languages of India.
This disambiguation page thus looks like an overkill, especially since there's little evidence that the term "Indic language" is often mistakenly used to refer to a language spoken in India.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Pichpich (talk) 16:44, 25 May 2018 (UTC)

- Meh. Of what use for a reader is the infobox and category for an uninhabited village, with a dozen abandoned houses, located on a 2-km long island? At least the information in the island article provides context and information about its history. By the way, they have the same official name — Sveti Andrija – and the island's article resides on the more commonly recognized name, Svetac. I won't edit-war on it, but creating such articles is a pretty lame business. No such user (talk) 06:57, 13 July 2018 (UTC)

Overlinking and unexplained revert
[edit]Hi SrpskiAnonimac, could you please explain your revert of my edit Special:Diff/873267445/873341553? Reverts of any edit other than vandalism require an explanation in the edit summary. Do you have some reason that MOS:OVERLINK, which says not to wikilink major geographical features, does not apply to "Mexico" in this case? The relevant guideline for what not to link is:
- "This generally includes major examples of geographic features (e.g., the Himalayas, Pacific Ocean, South America), locations (e.g., United States; New York City, or just New York if the city context is already clear; London, if the context rules out London, Ontario; Japan; Brazil; Southeast Asia), languages (e.g., English, Arabic, Korean, Spanish), nationalities and ethnicities (e.g., English, British, Chinese, Turkish; African-American, Hispanic), and religions (e.g., Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism)."

Piping into redirects
[edit]Piping a link into a redirect, as you did here, doesn't make sense. Either you use the redirect (e.g. Federal Republic of Yugoslavia
, which redirects to Serbia and Montenegro), or you use a piped link, piping straight into the target article, for example 1992 Yugoslavia
.
Piping into a redirect instead of the target article (i.e. 1992 Yugoslavia
) is totally pointless, adds unnecessary text to the target page ("Redirected from" etc.) and messes up the 'What links here' information, so please don't do it. Thanks. --Deeday-UK (talk) 16:24, 29 March 2019 (UTC)

Hi SrpskiAnonimac. When you move pages like "Milana" for diambiguation purposes, please check to make sure that there aren't any non-free files being used in the article. All non-free files are required to have separate specific non-free use rationales for each use; so, when you change the name of an article, the rationale also needs to be correspondingly changed to avoid problems like this. I caught this and re-added the file to the infobox, but non-free files which aren't being used in any articles can be speedily deleted per WP:F5 after five days. - Marchjuly (talk) 05:30, 6 February 2020 (UTC)

Do you have a specific source establishing that this is another name for Uzbek language? [edit]Hello, I'm Ost316. I noticed that you recently removed content from Klokot-Vrbovac without adequately explaining why. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. unexplained moves
[edit]Please use the field called Reason when you want to move pages, because I've just had to undo a bad move at Kijevo, Croatia and it would probably be a good idea to think about rationales first so we don't waste each other's time. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 14:53, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
The reason I specifically mention this is because I recently happened to come across this move from 2017 where you did the same kind of a thing.
A quick review of your contributions indicates a lot of moves, most of which seem sensible, but I also found one at Kozica, Croatia which is dubious (while a toponym search at https://geoportal.dgu.hr/ does find one other location in Croatia of the same name, it seems to be a minor mountain peak).
It's really a good idea to explain what you're trying to do. I also noticed no usage of WP:Edit summary fields. This is a collaborative encyclopedia, and the editing policy on having to explain what you do is not optional. Ignoring that for so many years is a pattern that is troublesome.
If you don't know enough English to properly explain, perhaps seek help from someone who can help you translate, there's projects like WT:SRB, WT:HRV etc where you can surely find someone to assist.
Ako vas nedovoljno poznavanje engleskog jezika onemogućuje da razumijete sve što je ovdje napisano, slobodno komentirajte na svom jeziku.

Speedy deletion nomination of Petrovichi (disambiguation)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Petrovichi (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either
- disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
- disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
- is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion nomination of Macedonization
[edit]Hello SrpskiAnonimac,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Jingiby, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Macedonization, for deletion, because there's already a page about that topic at It was redirect of Macedonism and Macedonian nationalism but Wikipedia:SPA have restored it several times.. Please don't be discouraged; we appreciate your effort in creating new articles. To avoid this in the future, consider using the search function to find pages that already cover what you want to write about.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.
For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with Jingiby
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~

The article Lusatia (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
"Lusatia" is not ambiguous. Lower Lusatia and Upper Lusatia are both linked from the first paragraph of Lusatia.
Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 13:22, 22 January 2023 (UTC)
unilateral title/redirect changes contrary to disambiguation guideline and editing policy
[edit]The edit here was so obviously wrong, it pains me to have to explain it, but here we go again... The guideline at WP:D explains how disambiguation works in the English Wikipedia. For example, if there's multiple mountains named "Kozjak", and one of them is substantially more notable than the others, you can claim WP:PTOPIC or WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT - though more often than not, none of them will be primary and readers should be navigated to a list that helps them find the right one they're looking for. But, you cannot do any of that by fiat - you have to post a modicum of an explanation about what you are doing and why.
I see in the history above that myself and multiple other editors have warned you about unilateral edits, many years ago already. Wikipedia:Editing policy is not optional, but apparently you seem to treat it like it is.
This is the last time I've tolerated this - if the spirit or text of WP:UNRESPONSIVE is violated again by this account, I will block it. --Joy (talk) 14:31, 12 February 2023 (UTC)

Hello, SrpskiAnonimac
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username EytanMelech, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Kommuna, Russia, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.
If you wish to contest the deletion:
- Edit the page
- Remove the text that looks like this:

- Click the button.
If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with EytanMelech

[edit]Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Repeated unexplained page moves, disruptive edits to disambiguation pages, creation of very large number of manifestly useless new redirect pages. Please stop. Doanri (talk) 13:11, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
Please observe the guidelines at WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT before making changes like this again. For example, open https://wikinav.toolforge.org/?language=en&title=Veles before you make the move and observe how the meaning you chose to redirect is not the one with the most reader interest. Honestly, I'm tired of reverting you like this, where the action is apparently reckless and no edit summaries or talk messages are used over dozens of edits. Next time you violate the Wikipedia:Editing policy like this, I'm just going to block you from editing. --Joy (talk) 09:10, 22 December 2023 (UTC)
Actually, I see from the history of this page that these warnings have been going on through this year and also since 2021, and other people have warned you as well. I've checked https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Contributions&end=&namespace=1&start=&tagfilter=&target=SrpskiAnonimac&offset=&limit=500 to see if there was ever any attempt to communicate, and there doesn't seem to be any. I also checked https://sigma.toolforge.org/summary.py?name=SrpskiAnonimac&search=&server=enwiki&max=500&ns=&enddate=&startdate= and there's nothing of substance there either. Sorry, this is unacceptable. --Joy (talk) 09:14, 22 December 2023 (UTC)

. Joy (talk) 09:15, 22 December 2023 (UTC)Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the template.
