Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Mohammed Shakir (Indian politician), without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Mohammed Shakir (Indian politician). Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.
If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. [edit]Hi - as well as those automated notes above, I wanted to give you a more personal message. I do not know whether or not your assertion that the claims have been disproved is correct - all I know is that the material in the article is cited to the Times of India, which would appear to be a reliable source. If you have a reliable source that shows they have been disproved, please provide a reference on the talk page of the article, and discuss how we can improve the content there. In my view, it would probably be better to have a sourced assertion saying that they have been disproved, rather than simply removing the whole section; this is something that should be discussed on the talk page however. In any case, please stop repeatedly removing the material after you have been reverted - that is edit warring, and it will result in your account being blocked. I just shared with you 3 news articles that show him being featured in the local newspapers and in meetings. That would not be the case if he were convicted and in jail. Times of India or any other national newspaper will only print sensational stories and will not follow up unless you're a person of national significance which is not true of this person. He is a local politician. Please advise if I can share court orders or complaint withdrawal from police station as proof. Cheers
- Hi - I replied to you on the article talk page. We don't generally use court orders or police papers as sources because they're WP:PRIMARY - secondary published sources are preferred to our reliable sources guidelines. I understand your point about national newspapers dropping the story - can you find anything in local newspapers that actually discusses the issue? I don't mean photographs with him in them - I mean actual written content that discusses what happened after the special court case where he was apparently sentenced to prison. Was there an appeal?
