cat Rheingau Taunus Kreis
I see you adding a cat to towns. Should it also be applied to other related articles, such as Rheingau Musik Festival or St. Martin, Idstein? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gerda Arendt (talk • contribs) 15:28, 23 September 2011
- Yes, good idea. I was surprised that the category tree for Germany doesn't go down to districts across the whole country. Generally, when something is in or happens in a district we can categories it by that district (or county, commune etc - generally the division below the region/province). It can be hard to find all the articles otherwise. I created some categories because I was adding location categories to articles within Category:Sports venues in Germany. Cape Epic
Hi Severo - Thank you for your contribution. Jessikite (talk) 12:04, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
Cape Epic
Hi Severo - Thank you for your note. I understand your objectivity concerns. I am in fact an employee of the Cape Epic, workign in their Marketing and Media department. I was set building a wikipedia page for us as one of my tasks. I have followed your advice and am in the process of getting the owner/founder of the Cape Epic to sign-off on the licensing application wikipedia requires to allow me to post this information.
(Jessikite (talk) 14:02, 3 October 2011 (UTC))
Good Morning Severo - Thank you for the link - I have copied the license agreement and will be submitting the agreement along with a declaration from the owner/founder, stating that he allows me to build on the Cape Epic wikipedia page. I imagine we need to submit copies of both our identity documents in the email and that his declaration should quote our identity numbers in order to match. Are you aware of any further identification materiels required? I can not seem to find this info to answer my questions so would really appreciate any more direction from your side. Can you tell me what sort of time frame I will be looking at for approval from wikipedia? Thank you again.
Jessica

Hi. In Joseph Sunde Memorial, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Liam Kelly (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

AWB abuse
Hi. Please see this. Point two states: "Don't edit too quickly; consider opening a bot account if you are regularly making more than a few edits a minute." Thanks. Lugnuts (talk) 14:39, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- How fast is too fast? My average looks to be around 4 per minute and this doesn't seem so fast to me. SeveroTC 14:44, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- Seems to be at least 4 or 5 per minute, which is more than a few. I have the all the evidence I need. Thanks. Lugnuts (talk) 14:47, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- Is it actually written anywhere? A "few" is, of course, indefinite. The best I found for it giving a number from wiktionary: "Although indefinite in nature, a few is usually more than two". Also, what do you mean by "all the evidence I need"? SeveroTC 15:01, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

Polish buildings
Shocking isn't it. We should have developed county categories by now too! Thanks for categorizing the cities. One of my projects for the coming year will be to transwiki building articles form Polish wiki! and start to fill these!♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:45, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
Go ahead, if you have any empty cats just let me know and I'll create a few. Also the Category:Airports in Poland can each be categorized with a Buildings and structures in xxx. I did the first one..♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:59, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
Are roads "buildings and structures"?
I am not so sure (re: [1]). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 14:04, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- I agree with following the larger category structure, but that may be worth discussing at WP:VP or somewhere. How about creating categories for roads in voivodeships, to hide the roads in the buldings and structures slightly more? I just finished cleaning the mines in the Silesian voivodeship, b and s cat. PS. On second thought, I can agree with road being a structure. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 14:18, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- It may be my bias, but I consider by city categories much more useful than by voivodeship/county. Not that I don't understand the benefits of full, hierarchical system, but I usually create only by nation/city divisions.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 14:44, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
Super. Maybe Piotrus, but you got to have some sort of hierarchy to order and explore them!♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:37, 9 January 2012 (UTC)

Template:Cyclist infobox listed at Redirects for discussion
An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Template:Cyclist infobox. Since you had some involvement with the Template:Cyclist infobox redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). Wikipedia Stories Project
Hi!
My name is Victor and I'm a storyteller with the Wikimedia Foundation, the non-profit organization that supports Wikipedia. I'm chronicling the inspiring stories of the Wikipedia community around the world, including those from readers, editors, and donors. Stories are absolutely essential for any non-profit to persuade people to support the cause, and we know the vast network of people who make and use Wikipedia have so much to share. I found your username from the Highbeam application list.
I'd very much like the opportunity to interview you to tell your story, with the possibility of using it in our materials, on our community websites, or as part of this year’s fundraiser to encourage others to support Wikipedia. Please let me know if you're inclined to take part in the Wikipedia Stories Project, or if you know anyone with whom I should speak.
Thank you for your time,
Victor Grigas

WP Cycling in the Signpost
The WikiProject Report would like to focus on WikiProject Cycling for a Signpost article scheduled to coincide with the Tour de France and the start of the Summer Olympics. As part of our special "Summer Sports Series", this publicity could give you an excellent opportunity to draw attention to the project's efforts and attract new members. Would you be willing to participate in an interview? If so, here are the questions for the interview. Just add your response below each question and feel free to skip any questions that you don't feel comfortable answering. Multiple editors will have an opportunity to respond to the interview questions, so be sure to sign your answers. If you know anyone else who would like to participate in the interview, please share this with them. Have a great day. -Mabeenot (talk) 14:35, 8 June 2012 (UTC)

Hello,
i noticed you edited a Mixed Martial Arts page in August, but you haven't listed yourself as a Participant on the Wikiproject for Mixed Martial Arts pages. I've decided to try to drum up interest to get more people involved!

Uruguayan footballers
Hi there SEVERO, AL from Portugal here,
as you are inserting the SPORTSPEOPLE FROM MONTEVIDEO in several of these guys (if not all who were born there), could you please accommodate and also leave the PEOPLE FROM MONTEVIDEO one? Sportspeople yes, but also human beings.
Attentively, keep up the good work - --AL (talk) 17:43, 19 September 2012 (UTC)
- They are notable only for being sportspeople (anyone who is notable for more I've skipped) so they should be removed from Category:People from Montevideo if they are in Category:Sportspeople from Montevideo (technically speaking it's because they are diffusing categories, see WP:CATEGORY). I've been doing loads because it seems some people are starting Category:Sportspeople from City and putting only a few articles in when there realistically should be a few hundred, so I apologise if your watchlist is being ruined by my edits today (although nearly done, only about 70 Montevideans left!). Rest assured, I'm checking each one as I'm going (usually they are very easy to check) to ensure that that are notable only for being sportspeople and that the city categorization is correct. SeveroTC 19:34, 19 September 2012 (UTC)
- No worries. But i should warn you that, previous to my message and your reply, i reinstated the PEOPLE FROM MONTEVIDEO cat (without removing the SPORTSPEOPLE one of course) in a couple of chaps (three or four): Álvaro Pereira, Martín Cáceres, can't remember the others. Sorry for any inconvenience. --AL (talk) 20:53, 19 September 2012 (UTC)
- No worries, it doesn't bother me at all - I'm more bothered by the creation of some city cats then not being filled (so I'm working on it!). I've already done Rome, Milan, Turin, Florence and Zagreb. Montevideo is nearly finished but there's still probably another 20 categories to check after that :( Happy editing! Invitation to RfC

Greta Gynt
- Hello. You have recently put Greta Gynt in the category Sportspeople from Oslo. She was an actress, not a sportsperson. Hektor (talk) 19:44, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. SeveroTC 08:36, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
Infoboxes and redirects
I think all the redirects you added have 0 transclusions. They only add time in searching for them and there will be no effect in any page. -- Magioladitis (talk) 21:52, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
- I put the list together after realising {{Infobox Boxer}} wasn't on the list but I will revert for now and go through them all to check and add only those with transclusions. Can't we delete those that are unused? SeveroTC 21:56, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
- Some of them we could but some people react. you could try to send to TfD some of them (not all, it would be a disaster). -- Magioladitis (talk) 21:59, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
- Infobox Boxer can stay. We need to clean it up. -- Magioladitis (talk) 22:02, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
- Just doing some quick checking on them (I will do a proper one tomorrow) - but quick question: is it worth adding any if they have less than 10 transclusions? SeveroTC 22:09, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
- BTW, you don't know of a tool or method to check the transclusion count of many templates at the same time (saying how many transclusions per template)? I could do with checking this with the stub templates as well. SeveroTC 22:25, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
