Welcome to Wikipedia, Segilla! I am Mysdaao and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Your request for an editor review

[edit]

Hi there Segilla!. I've noticed that you've requested an editor review, located here. While it is not required, users that request a review are strongly encouraged to review other users, as this greatly helps with the backlog of requests there. Think of it as a mutual effort, you review someone and someone will review you. So if it's not too much to ask, please consider reviewing someone (the person before you would be fine - if he's already been reviewed, just look for someone that hasn't). I understand that you may not feel qualified or know how to review someone, so there are instructions in the Instructions for reviewers tab at the top of the page. As always, feel free to message me if you have any questions. Netalarmtalk 06:31, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Out of my depth as I can't see where to raise a new topic but please forgive that I am in error. The page about Huw Edwards BBC journalist etc, at the foot, under Media Offices boxes there is some text that needs correct formatting. Sorry I can't see now to do it. EditorReviewArchiver: Automatic processing of your editor review

[edit]

This is an automated message. Your editor review is scheduled to be closed on 22 February 2011 because it will have been open for more than 30 days and inactive for more than 7 days. You can keep it open longer by posting a comment to the review page requesting more input. Adding <!--noautoarchive--> to the review page will prevent further automated actions. Hi. When you recently edited Westcliff-on-Sea, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Barry Cooper (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Evesham cinema

[edit]

Hello Segilla, thanks for your edits to my Evesham cinema notes page in my userspace, but please remember that is is only a scrapbook. It's a mixture of cuts from the original page and notes to myself. But if you can fold any of that back into the main Evesham page, please do. TKS for the info. and sorry for straying into unkown territory. As a rule, my contributions are minor as I'm not much au fait with anything on Wiki apart from attempting edits to spelling and grammar etc.

I toy with attending an opera performance beamed in from the States at The Regal at an outrageous ca. £26 or waiting for the issue of the DVD at around the same price. Regardless I shal make the ca. 70 mile round trip to attend this fine building soon.

Meryweather

[edit]

I'd be interested to see the material on Meryweather, whether a relation of yours or not. I'm happy to receive an email from you with some information if you'd like to use the email the user facility. Thanks. Johnlp (talk) 23:50, 11 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies for inaction. In the event, the considerable amount of info I have is about the cricketer's father of the same name, who was induced (maybe to gain an inheritance), to change his surname to Turner. Some sources say 'took the additional name of Turner', and that muddied the waters a lot. I suppose that the son ignored the Turner connection although it is possible some biographical information may be found about him in that name. Segilla (talk) 13:22, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Stanley Unwin

[edit]

He is but a footnote in this article:-

(see below the photo of Casals), but the main purpose in penning this is to say that Lionel Salter seems to have been such an important and interesting man that he merits a Wiki article. I'm hoping that a reader might want to rise to the challenge!

Salter was a descendant of Solomon Sulzer, a composer friend of Beethoven and Schubert; his father was a language teacher and his mother worked for a small record company. He clearly inherited genes that shaped his astonishing career, which began as a child-prodigy pianist.
