Welcome!
[edit]Hello, SebrinaHayes, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Brianda and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.
I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Wikilinks
[edit]You might find it helpful to review Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking. Two errors that you've been making are adding wikilinks to section headings (don't do that), and overlinking (don't link every instance of a term/name). Hope that helps. Schazjmd (talk) 21:25, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
- In addition, we don't add explanatory text directing readers to "click on the link" in any section. External links should just be the URL and a description of the target. Schazjmd (talk) 22:10, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
- More notes: section headings use sentence case. Newspapers names are italicized, award names are not. After the lead, refer to the article subject by surname; don't repeat the full name. Schazjmd (talk) 22:50, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Familyhistoryprof and Rachel Helps (BYU):, as the instructors for the course that this editor is working on, could you get SebrinaHayes to read this talk page? They are repeatedly restoring errors to the article that other editors have removed, and don't seem to be reading the messages here (or in the edit summaries for the reverts of their edits either). Thanks. Schazjmd (talk) 21:59, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hello @Schazjmd! Thank you for making me aware of these issues. I will no longer restore errors. Thank you. SebrinaHayes (talk) 23:06, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
