Request[edit]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).
Sd31415 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log)) Request reason: How am I a sockpuppet of Tooj117? I have performed no vandalism at all, or not even acted like Tooj117 (yes, I have found out who he is), or not even uploaded any images. Aren't blocks for when a user is harming the encyclopedia? I have contributed to this encyclopedia for almost three months now. If I did anything wrong, such as the one time I accidentally tagged an article with db-empty instead of db-band, I immediately apologized. I did not vandalize an article, nor did I attack a Wikipedian. Not once did I receive a warning from a fellow Wikipedian to stop this or that. I have tried to be the best Wikipedian I could be. You may go through my archives and check for any warning Wikipedians have gave me. Alternatively, you may go to User talk:Sd31415/Archive 4, and check the history for any test or blatant vandal template. Thank you. Decline reason: I'm confident enough, on reading the whole lot below, that you are either a clever sockpuppet or stupid meatpuppet. My money is on the former, but even the latter leads me, as an uninvolved admin, to confirm the block. -- ⇨REDVEЯS 21:03, 11 January 2007 (UTC) If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked. In addition to my comment made above, I would like to say that I trust Daniel.Bryant's evidence. However, the template also says to "see contribs" as well. If you see my contributions, you will see that I never made an edit similar to his. For example, he insults Ohnoitsjamie in has last edit. I will never insult Daniel.Bryant or Mackensen even if they were the ones who blocked me. I have always tried (and succeeded) in being civil in all situations. Tooj117 (talk • contribs) also vandalized various articles such as Geek and Rush Limbaugh. Also, looking at his logs, he uploaded images that have been deleted. One such is Image:Geek.jpg, which Ohnoitsjamie has replaced with another image to prevent vandalism. I have not uploaded geek images, or any images for that matter, as of today. So, my point is that my status of a sockpuppet has been established by CheckUser but not my contributions, my page moves, or my logs. I would like to ask an adminstrator reading this to review my block. Moreover, the RCU case was a request to identify and block the IP addresses responsible for blatant vandalism and attack accounts. Again, as stated above, I have never harmed this encyclopedia by vandalizing, attacking another user, etc. Thank you. SD31415 (SIGN HERE) 12:19, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi, Ohnoitsjamie! Thanks for reading my request. I would like to address some of the concerns you have with my request for unblock. First, you say that I am Tooj117, and that an examination of my contributions shows that I am a sockpuppet. My last contributions were welcoming IPs, helping AndonicO with on the talk page of WP:UPH, making changes to some articles but documenting those changes in my edit summaries, congratulating two users, thanking a user, and asking some questions. I would like to ask you to relate these edits to the edits of other sockpuppets. Second, you say that I have conversed with the sockpuppets of Tooj117. Yes, I have admittedly talked to a few of those users listed in November and early December, because I know the users in real life. I know Trevor, but I am not Tooj117. After December, I have talked with users such as Deskana, Yuser31415, Sasuke-kun27, (aeropagitica), Nishkid64, Arjun01, Fir0002, Tohru Honda13, and Rfrisie. Third, you say that I might be reformed vandal. Sorry, but I cannot say that I am reformed vandal, because I am honest when I say that I have never vandalized Wikipedia. By looking at Tooj117 and his sockpuppet's edits, they are blatantly violating WP:NPA. I have always strived to be nice in all situations. Moreover, I have not vandalized this encyclopedia. Sd31415 is the only account I have, in addition to my IP, which has been autoblocked. Now, why should I ask a sysop to unblock me? First, I believe my block was unjust. The reason was "sockpuppet," which Tooj117 has used for "abuse, libel, or ban evasion." I have not abused Wikipedia. I have not abused the articles, but rather made helpful changes to them. Nor have I abused the editors by attacking them; ask one of the users that I have talked to. Second, I believe that through my near 2,600 edits, I have helped improve this encyclopedia. I am a WikiGnome who makes minor but helpful changes to articles. I have also nominated good mottos at WP:MOTD. I have done numerous other things, like !vote at WP:RFA and WP:FPC. I have also helped improve Wikipedia's numerous portals (ask Rfrisbie). I believe that I can further continue to help Wikipedia. I would ask you, Ohnoitsjamie, or any other administrator to review my block. By that, I mean my edits to Wikipedia. They were not abusive but in fact helpful. I have also been nice (I even have a RAOK barnstar and Scrumshus called me "a truly a one-of a kind Wikipedian" for greeting him kindly). I ask you to ask yourself, "Is this user helping and improving Wikipedia?" and take the appropriate action, whether it be unblock or not. Thanks for your time and happy editing! SD31415 (SIGN HERE) 00:16, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
I am quoting WP:LTA: "Tooj117 is a vandal that started vandalizing the page Geek by repetedly adding a ridiculous picure of a stereotypical geek. The vandal the began adding this picture on various pages, or just doing other vandalism such as page blanking, and false information. The user was blocked indefinitely. Tooj117 kept creating sockpuppets and had accounts doing the same vandalism from different IPs. The vandalism by tooj117 of the page geek still happens frequently, but not nearly as often as before. Another user Stroon does the same vandalism but seams to be a different user imitating The Geek Vandal. The Geek Vandal still vandalizes pages freqeuntly. Mostly geek, Joe Lieberman, and Admin's user pages.
First, I haven't vandalizing Geek. Second, I haven't blanked any articles or provided false information. Third, I haven't uploaded any images of a stereotypical geek. The reason for the block was sockpuppet of Tooj117. The information here states what Tooj117's sockpuppets do. I haven't engaged in any of those activities. SD31415 (SIGN HERE) 00:43, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
If am correct, the CheckUser checks IPs used by the user, such as me. If this helps, one of the IPs I use is my house. The other IP I use is my school's IP, which is blocked for repeated vandalism (which I have not engaged in). My school has over 1500 students using the school IP. SD31415 (SIGN HERE) 00:47, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
If that is your final decision, I will not argue with it. I'm sorry that this didn't go where I expected. I trust CheckUser, but I think contributions are a better piece of evidence. Blocks are mainly for vandalism, 3RR, or PAs. I have been a civil editor who has tried to always do the right thing. I guess this is my last edit, SD31415 (SIGN HERE) 01:03, 11 January 2007 (UTC) (The socks were editing from their homes. I was involved in SG because my friends asked me to improve their "new group." So I said, why not make the page and the templates look better? I improved the templates and also I gave them advice on who to recruit, since they asked me [in real life]. SD31415 (SIGN HERE) 01:03, 11 January 2007 (UTC))
Further Discussion[edit]Thanks for the kind note. Also, I have found my school's IP, 68.185.199.64. However, getting back almost 2,600 edits is not easy. That is why I would liked to be unblocked. I have already established a good reputation with users. I am not the person who created accounts Tooj117, etc., but I know him (Trevor, as you have said before). I would like to know why my classmate's behavior on Wikipedia warrants my blocking. I have always "stayed out of trouble from day one" and always will. If I create a new account, I will still have to use my school and home IP (and account creation is blocked on both). If you could provide just one more explanation, that would be appreciated. I would also like for you to talk a look at Geekler's talk page. I remain civil, while he is continually vandalizing his talk page. This isn't CheckUser evidence, but it is still evidence that I am not his sockpuppet, as established by my (and his) edits. Happy editing! SD31415 (SIGN HERE) 01:26, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
I am not playing the good guy because I am a completely different person than Gabe and Trevor. Though it may be hard to believe, they are not at my side. And could you explain the comment about WP:RCU? I am still a bit of a newbie here. SD31415 (SIGN HERE) 01:58, 11 January 2007 (UTC) I have unblocked you per a discussion with Sa!kh4n. The school address remains blocked. At the moment I consider you a user in good standing. Mackensen (talk) 01:41, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
My RFA[edit]Hey, thanks so much for supporting my recent RFA. A number of editors considered that I wasn't ready for the mop yet and unfortunately the RFA did not succeed (69/26/11). There are a number of areas which I will be working on (including changing my username) in the next few months in order to allay the fears of those who opposed my election to administrator. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you sincerely for your support over the past week. I've been blown away by the level of interest taken in my RFA and appreciate the time and energy dedicated by all the editors who have contributed to it, support, oppose and neutral alike. Your signature[edit]I would like to ask you to remove the images from your signature. I really admired your resourcefulness in creating it. However there are two important considerations. First, the wikipedia policy about signatures specificaly says "Images of any kind should not be used in signatures" and explains why. Second, the code in your signature clutters the discussion page when you open it for editing and creates some confusion. Sorry for bothering you, `'mikka 01:54, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Happy Wikipedia Day![edit]Happy editing!
To all editors...[edit]On January 15, 2007, Wikipedia turned six-years-old. According to statistics, Wikipedia has around 1,500,000 articles and Wikipedians have made 104,000,000 edits. The millionth article was Jordanhill railway station, created on March 2, 2006. Wikipedia has moved from an Alexa rank of 20 to a rank of 12 having already briefly visited rank 8 (current rank).

Hi Sd31415, just wanted to let you know that your reversion of vandalism to this article on 20 January didn't quite work as you expected because you used Popups to do the reversion, and there were two sequential edits by the vandal. The result was you reverted his second edit back to his first, which was still a vandal edit. Popups only goes back one edit, it's a "feature" to watch out for. Thanks for helping keep the vandals at bay, though. Phaedrus86 10:21, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
