Hello ScrodiTY. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:ScrodiTY. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=ScrodiTY|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Bilby (talk) 13:57, 29 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Bilby,
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I have now read and understood Wikipedia's policies regarding paid editing and conflict of interest (COI). I will ensure compliance with all applicable guidelines going forward.
To clarify my previous contributions:
Aladdin Mediterranean Cuisine and Tom Myers: I created these pages without receiving any form of payment.
Zee Cohen-Sanchez: While I was not paid for this article, I do have a conflict of interest with the subject.
Other pages I have created: I acknowledge that I was compensated for creating these articles. I will promptly disclose this information on my user page using the Paid template, as required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use.
My intent has always been to broaden the scope of Wikipedia by creating well-sourced and neutral content that aligns with its guidelines. I have strived to maintain neutrality in all my edits, and I welcome your review of these articles for any potential neutrality issues or concerns.
For any future articles that involve compensation, I will strictly adhere to the Articles for Creation process.
Thank you again for pointing this out. I remain committed to following Wikipedia’s policies and ensuring my contributions meet its standards.
Sincerely,
ScrodiTY ScrodiTY (talk) 14:59, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

Please disclose your paid editing COI/-s directly on your user page, not on a subpage; this way it will be more obvious to anyone looking for the disclosure.

Also, per WP:PAID, you must provide links on their Wikipedia user page to all active accounts at websites where they advertise, solicit or obtain paid Wikipedia-editing services, which I don't believe you have yet done? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 17:44, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
