Talk pages are about improving the article, not chatting about what results might be. As it says at the top of the editor: This is a talk page. Please respect the talk page guidelines. The guidelines say: The purpose of a page's associated talk page (accessible via the talk or discussion tab) is to provide space for editors to discuss editing that page. Article talk pages should not be used by editors as platforms for their personal views on a subject. When talk pages in other namespaces (including userspace) are used for discussion and communication between users, discussion should be directed solely toward the improvement of the encyclopedia. WE Talking who is co-host for MGI 2024 77.77.219.168 (talk) 18:18, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Precisely - not discussing how to improve the article. This is an encyclopaedia, not a pageant chat room. Sciencefish (talk) 19:47, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notice about the article deletion of Gabriela Isler for unsourced or lacked of sources

[edit]

Dear Sciencefish, if you delete the article about Gabriela Isler for unsourced or lacks of the sources and then you will have to merging that article to Miss Universe 2013 article or other related articles about her, I am very disagreed for this decision of this proposal. Apipattana (talk) 12:51, 25 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Any reasons why is deleted. PickMe10 (talk) 09:40, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Of course. Her notability was based on two events that were unsourced. Sciencefish (talk) 10:00, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sources needed for Cuba, Sri Lanka and Tanzania on "Upcoming Pageants"

[edit]

Hi @Sciencefish i need your help please. Where do i will find sources for three countries on Upcoming Pageants at Miss Universe 2024 77.77.218.180 (talk) 10:23, 22 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've no idea, I don't follow pageants. I suggest you wait until the event has passed, then see what is reported in the news, until then just don't add them. This is an encyclopaedia per WP:NOTNEWS and WP:NOTDIARY. Sciencefish (talk) 10:49, 22 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Prevent Vandalism on Miss Universe 2024

[edit]

Hi there @Sciencefish I know you means De Boni 2007 and Catia108 already last edited and removed countries from "Debuts" and "Returns" Lists. Since That The Table Fixed. The Instagram is not a source WP:UNSOURCED WP:INSTAGRAM. ✅

❓ Also That, Catia108 already says on last edit:92 and 102.. Raul Rocha says 130.

So please Reply, Thank You 77.77.218.252 (talk) 17:28, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your original reply says: Already Confirmed 130 countries not 110 per WP:COUNTRY and MOS:FLAG....
  • I understand Already Confirmed 130 countries not 110, that does not need explaining.
  • I don't understand why you added: per WP:COUNTRY and MOS:FLAG..., this is what I am asking you to explain.
What do you mean by adding WP:COUNTRY which is a disambiguation link (see WP:DAB), and MOS:FLAG which explains how to use flags in article pages? What are you trying to say? Sciencefish (talk) 17:37, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
MOS:FLAG it means French Territory an Mayotte, They already announced National Director for Pageant 77.77.218.252 (talk) 17:41, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's why is removed 77.77.218.252 (talk) 17:42, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Miss Universe 1986

[edit]

Good morning! The question about the flags of the Miss Universe 1986 contestants is as follows:Each country or territory to be able to compete in the competition needs a franchisee who takes over the rights to the brand to operate the respective selection process for its representative.in something equivalent to what happens in each National Olympic Committee to compete in the Olympic Games. So some territories are equivalent to independent countries for the Miss Universe Organization. The flags are not out of context.
