[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. A page you recently created, Saudahmed66@hotmail.com, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new pages, so it will shortly be removed (if it hasn't been already). Please use the sandbox for any tests, and consider using the Article Wizard. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Your first article. You may also want to read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. Ian.thomson (talk) 16:00, 26 January 2010 (UTC) You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, as you did at Saudahmed66@hotmail.com. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.[reply]

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) If you wish to create a page about yourself, I recommend editing your user page Ian.thomson (talk) 16:00, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Last warning

[edit]

Please STOP creating new pages until you understand what sort of pages are allowed here. If you continue to create pages about non-notable shops and websites, you WILL be blocked. I've cleared all the old warnings away to make sure you see this. GedUK  09:43, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Kcspart.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 09:45, 8 July 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 09:45, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Mortein lrg.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Eeekster (talk) 09:45, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 12:06, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your contributions to this article. I noticed that you appear to be unfamiliar with how to format Wikipedia articles, so I have fixed up the formatting of your additions for you. For example, sections are formatted like this: "==Activities==", and there is no need to manually draw section lines yourself. Also, it is best not to overload short articles with too many illustrations - for a school, just one or two is all that is really needed. I suggest you have a read through the Wikipedia Manual of Style, and have a look around other articles to get a feel for how they're formatted. Good luck with your future editing. The article Saeed Ghani has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Only source is company's own website, there is nothing to establish the notability of this company within WP:CORP.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Rodhullandemu 15:56, 10 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. As you don't appear to be too familiar with creating or editing Wikipedia articles, I suggest what you do is make a copy of Karachi Cambridge School in your user space, for example as the page User:Saudahmed66/Karachi Cambridge School. Then do your proposed changes there, and ask an experienced editor to review them for you before transferring them to the main article - I'd be happy to do that for you, if you tell me when you're ready. And please have a look through Wikipedia:Your first article and other articles that link from it - you'll find lots of useful tips to help you get started editing. Hi. Your new version looks fine. I might make one or two minor changes, but I think you should be ok to copy it to the main article now. Just copy and paste everything from User:Saudahmed66/Karachi Cambridge School to Karachi Cambridge School and I'll look at it there. Don't worry about the removal of the image (below) - that's just because it wasn't allowed in your user space, but should be ok in the main article. I'll put it back in the main article once you've copied in your new version. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 07:32, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar

[edit]

Hi Saudahmed66 - Thanks for the barnstar! As to how you get them, you've simply got to do good work on Wikipedia - the more noticed the work is, the more likely you'll get one. The easiest way to get a barnstar is probably to work within one of the Wikipedia WikiProjects - coordinated groups working on particular subjects. Find a subject that you're interested in, and join in the work that's going on with the related project. If you woprk well there, other members of the project are likely to recognise what you're doing with a barnstar. Grutness...wha? 22:27, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

{{advert}}

[edit]

Please stop putting the {{advert}} template on articles that are not at all written like advertisements - and in general, please take great care when adding templates to articles. You really shouldn't be doing this, giving barnstars to bots, asking for them yourself, and randomly trying out templates. You're very welcome here, of course, but you need to start at the beginning - do some small changes that you are confident of, make small improvements to the content of articles that you know about, and take your time to learn about how Wikipedia works. Don't rush things, and don't jump into areas you don't understand. And do ask for help when you need it. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 22:44, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Asad_s.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Asad_s.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Melesse (talk) 02:53, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:Asad_live.jpg

[edit]

I have tagged File:Asad_live.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Some examples can be found at Wikipedia:Use rationale examples. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Non-free. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 02:54, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Chef Asad Latif requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles – see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Kcsimage.jpg.

License tagging for File:Ramadan moon.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Ramadan moon.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:05, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Connect Communication has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no evidence of notability

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:52, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

United King bakery article

[edit]

The article was deleted because it was an advertisement, with a promotional tone quite unsuitable for an encyclopedia. Phrases like "Our aim is to make delicious, hygienic and healthy food", "Our products continue to be made with the same attention to quality and detail ", and "the finest selection of baked products in Pakistan" are the sort of thing the company's PR department would write, and the use of "We" and "Our" makes clear that they are written on behalf of the company. If you are connected with the company or their PR advisers, you should not be writing about them - see WP:Conflict of interest. In any case, it will save you time writing articles which are deleted if you read these guidelines:

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at File talk:GeoDost.jpg and send an email with the message to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that it is licensed under the CC-BY-SA license, leave a note at File talk:GeoDost.jpg with a link to where we can find that note.
  • If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the CC-BY-SA and GFDL, and note that you have done so on File talk:GeoDost.jpg.

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While contributions are appreciated, Wikipedia must require all contributors to understand and comply with its copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 15:45, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Fb-logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. The article Pakistan earthquake (2011) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Very short unreferenced article. Delete per WP:NNEWS

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Kudpung (talk) 05:58, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Makkatower2.JPG

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Makkatower2.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 18:44, 16 April 2011 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 18:44, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Nadra.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Nadra.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 14:29, 20 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on User:Saudahmed66/Karachi Cambridge School requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
