Welcome!
Hello, Saturation2, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}}
after the question on your talk page. Again, welcome!
De-listed this from WP:AIV. That user name may be confusing, but non-latin characters are not forbidden in usernames. That said, you have a point, and hopefully that editor will be receptive. I suggest you contact the user on their talk page and suggest a change of username; you may find {{UsernameConcern}} of help in composing your message. Mangojuicetalk 16:49, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
User:Saturation2's concerns about User:They call me Mr. Pibb username
[edit]Thank you for posting your message on my talkpage and for your concern regarding my username, At this point I think it will be a moot point because I am on the verge of being banned anyway by some admin a-hole who kept reverting my edits in Polar Bear even after I posted the references required. If I am not ultimately banned and can continue to edit and you would like to continue to discuss this further then please leave a message on my talk page. 19:13, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
Please stop worrying about usernames
[edit]Thank you for "welcoming" me to Wikipedia but since it is your first day and I have been editing for several years I think I should be the one welcoming you. Please stop harassing longtime users and consider actually contributing meaningfully to the encyclopedia. shoeofdeath 19:32, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Please be more careful when "correcting" spelling
[edit]Hi Saturation2, you recently made this edit to a message I left on a talk page. Your change was incorrect - which a look at the context should have tipped you off to. Also, it is inappropriate to copy edit other people's talk page comments. Please stick to improving articles. Thanks -- Siobhan Hansa 00:19, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Helpme
[edit]{Helpme|Is there a script that I can count my contributions at my contributions page?}
- Hi, there are tools that you can use to see your editing statistics. Try http://tools.wikimedia.de/~interiot/cgi-bin/Tool1/wannabe_kate?username=Saturation2&site=en.wikipedia.org for example. Cheers, --KFP (talk | contribs) 00:59, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
WP:AIV
[edit]I've removed your reports to WP:AIV because users are only blocked for vandalism or disruption. One of the IPs you posted has zero edits, and the other has zero edits since May 2006. "School IP" is not a valid reason for blocking. --Wafulz 01:39, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Yeah.
[edit]Thanks for the one-lettered spelling correction. I usually fumble that one.--C.Logan 02:27, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Shoe stubs
[edit]Stub types should only be added to the list of stub types after they have been discussed either at the Proposals page or as in the case of {{shoe-stub}}, if the stub type was not proposed before being created then at the Discoveries page. I have listed your page on the Discoveries page with an initial recommendation that it be upmerged into a footwear stub. Caerwine Caer’s whines 02:32, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Helpme
[edit]Is there any way the orange bar is going to tell me HOW MANY messages I have?
- No, I'm afraid it only tells you whether you have unread messages or not. Gwernol 02:57, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Changing spellings on talk pages
[edit]Hi Saturation2, I notice that you are going through changing spelling mistakes. While this is an excellent thing to do in articles, you should not change other users' comments on talk pages as you have done several times, for example here. This is generally considered at least rude and at worst can inadvertently look like an attempt to interfere with the ongoing discussion. Please be more careful when correcting spelling errors. In particular you should stop doing this on all talk pages. Thanks, Gwernol 02:56, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Dear Saturation2,
Thank you for applying for NPWatcher! Unfortunately, your application has been declined because it seems that you don't have at least 500 edits. When you fulfill this requirement, feel free to re-apply.

Please be more careful when correcting spelling #2
[edit]Hi Saturation2 - you recently "corrected" the List of aircraft (C-D) by changing all instances of "CANT" to "Cannot". CANT was an Italian seaplane and flying-boat manufacturer of the 1920s and 30s. While no-one but aviation enthusiasts might be expected to know that, you should have been able to see that your "correction" broke the links within the article; ie. CANT Z.501 works, Cannot Z.501 doesn't (and shouldn't!). This alone should have told you that there was something wrong. It's all cleared up now, but please be careful when typo-hunting. --Rlandmann 23:06, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
BATSHIT edit on Strangelove entry
[edit]Hello, saturation two.
I am mystified by your re-edit of my edit of the Doctor Strangelove entry. I substituted batshit which has a meaning within the context of the film (it is a synonym for insane, which the character in question clearly is), for "bat droppings" which has no meaning other than the literal.
I can only assume that your re-edit is because you find the word offensive, in which case I suggest you also consider an edit the entry for insanity, in which it also appears.
In the meantime, I will reinstate my edit, and await developments.
Many thanks for your interest.

[edit]May I know why this tag was added on a well cited topic that is in the process of being copy edited thoroughly.Dineshkannambadi 02:10, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
- You added a "cleanup" tag. thats what I am talking about.Dineshkannambadi 02:14, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
- You dont put "clean up" tags just because an article is 37KB long. Where is the rule in wiki that a lengthy article needs to be cleaned up just because its long. The length of an artucle depends on the content required to be presented. Dont fool around with articles you dont understand.Dineshkannambadi 14:37, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Your report to RFC/N
[edit]Could you please clarify the concern you have regarding the username of User:Moonlit Nightmare. I am sorry but I have not been able to figure out what your objection might be. Thank you, Newyorkbrad 02:30, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
- Never mind, the matter has already been closed with a decision to allow the username. But if you tell me what your concern was I may still be able to clarify the policy for you. Newyorkbrad 03:02, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Helpme
[edit]Can I vote other users who have RfA's or not?
- I'm not quite sure what you're asking. If you're asking whether you can vote in RfAs or not, then yes, you can. In fact, anyone who has an account can. -Amarkov moo! 03:02, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
- Amarkov is definitely correct that any registered user may vote in an RfA. However, many new users find it most interesting to get involved in mainspace (i.e., actually writing or editing the articles) before branching into process issues like username reports, RfAs, etc. If you decide to comment on an RfA, please bear in mind that it is always best to give specific reasons for your view, whether support, oppose, or neutral, to assist the people who have to make the final decision whether to promote the candidate or not. Hope that helps. Newyorkbrad 03:04, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Your AIV report
[edit]Why did you say User:WODUP is a vandalism-only account, and why did you say he is a sockpuppeter of legitimate doppelganger accounts, as clearly marked on their userpages? Accusations of being a vandalism account are very serious. -Amarkov moo! 03:42, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Due to your edits, I'm going to give you the same advice given to your brother.
[edit]You should not, from now on, edit the Wikipedia: namespace in any way. Please edit only articles. If you violate this, you are almost certain to be blocked indefinitely, just as your brother was. This is my very last strand of WP:AGF; if you do get yourself blocked, I will start community ban proceedings myself. -Amarkov moo! 04:04, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, and if your brother wishes to communicate with me, he can email me. -Amarkov moo! 04:15, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
- Like Amarkov said above, this is your last warning. Continue making ridiculous reports to projectspace and you'll be blocked for disruption. --KZTalk• Contribs 04:24, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Your RFA
[edit]I have closed your RFA. Please take a look at WP:GRFA and take to the suggestions there. If you have any questions regarding this, please do not hesitate to ask here or on my talk page. Best regards, Navou banter 04:31, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi. I would appreciate if you didn't edit my userbox without asking. --MrStalker 08:20, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Don't correct spellings on talk pages
[edit]In case I wasn't previously completely clear. Stop correcting spellings on talk pages. You may not change other editors' comments, even to correct a spelling mistake. You have made a number of serious errors in your "corrections" and there is a very serious danger that you will substantially change the meaning of another editors' words. If you continue to do this I will block you for disruption. Gwernol 09:28, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
- Saturdation2, your conduct on wikipedia has been very worrying recently as I have observed. You have used up the AGF of a number of users now, and false reporting to WP:AIV as a serious matter. You have received near-final-warnings for a number of reasons now, and further disruption may lead to you being blocked with no further warning. Please take great care in the future, as in my opinion other users have been very patient with you thus far but it will not last. Thanks SGGH 10:35, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Comment on Strangelove edit
[edit]Thank you for your comments.
I am sorry that you do not like profanity, but nevertheless it exists, and if the context requires it, it should be discussed. Your re-edit of my edit rendered the definition meaningless, and therefore I have re-edited back to my original, but added a small caveat. I do not expect to have to do this again because of one of your edits.
One other thing. I suggest you read the entry on Dr Thomas Bowdler. You may find it illuminating.
Kind regards,
Bookguy 13:13, 10 April 2007 (UTC)bookguy 10 April 2007
- Saturation2, you should also read Wikipedia's policy that we do not censor articles. Gwernol 13:17, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Blocked for bowdlerization
[edit]I have suspended your editing privileges for three hours. Wikipedia is not censored – as you have been informed – and further you should not be altering the signed comments of other editors as you did here: [1]. TenOfAllTrades(talk) 14:18, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
