The article Platform (Hindi movie) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no evidence

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:11, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of AX3000G, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.korgnorthwest.com/ax3000g.htm.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the AX3000G article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later, and under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribute Share-Alike."

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question at the "Help Desk". You can also leave a message on my talk page. Syrthiss (talk) 16:47, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I want to create a page TAKKAR(1995 Film),which is about a bollywood film starring actor suniel shetty. But no matter what I do,I can't find an option to get started. This film page does not exist, and I want to create it.Can someone give a direct link to start it?Thanks

The link to create it would be Takkar (1995 film). You can type things like this into the search box, and it will take you to the page so you can start editing if the article doesn't exist already. I hope this helps. I did notice there are several other films named Takkar in the encyclopedia, so it seems to be a very popular name. Syrthiss (talk) 15:33, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I want to create pages for James hadley chase novels' titles. How to get the links? For eg.,if I type "Trusted like the fox" which is one of his novels, the article page on JHC will appear, not a link to "Trusted like the fox".What to do?

If you type the article in the search bar, eg Trusted Like The Fox, and click search, you will see a redlink, which says, You may create the page "Trusted Like The Fox", but consider checking the search results below to see whether it is already covered. I'll make it easier for you. Click here to start writing the article. Best of luck. Steven Zhang The clock is ticking.... 16:01, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sir that didnt work. The link didnt lead to a blank page to type the article

Um, not sure what to say. If you Click here it will open the blank page, and you can start the article. Steven Zhang The clock is ticking.... 06:41, 22 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks.I clicked on discussion and got the page. But because you gave a link directly.how do you get that link to give me??

I'm not clear what you are asking. Above every article there are some tabs: article, discussion, edit this page and so on. Choose what you need. If you want to edit the discussion page then first go th the discusion page and then on the edit tab. mabdul 11:20, 24 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Images.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Images.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 11:05, 24 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I didnt understand what is expected of me.Do you want the link from which I got this image?

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on I'll Get You For This, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. CanadianLinuxUser (talk) 16:11, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to introduce inappropriate pages to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. If you need guidance on how to create appropriate pages, try using the Article Wizard. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 04:45, 28 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I did. What is inappropriate in that page? That is an article about a novel written by James hadley chase.Let me know please.

I'm still baffled by your post. You asked "May I know which inappropriate page I created?" when the headline of the note to you says "Speedy deletion nomination of I'll Get You For This" and the first line of the text of the note says "A tag has been placed on I'll Get You For This, requesting..."

In any event, I disagree with the basis for the deletion. It was stated to have been deleted under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion but I don't see anything that appears to me to constitute blatant advertising. Nevertheless, we do not undo other admin's actions unilaterally. Instead, it would have to be overturned, if at all, at Wikipedia:Deletion review. However, what I suggest is that you work up the article in a subpage adding better written and more complete content, including citations to reliable sources.

In fact, I will provide the content in a subpage now for you to work from. Please edit the article at User talk:Sanjeevgeorge123/I'll Get You For This.

A few notes. Always put spaces between words, including after punctuation such as commas and periods, which you consistently left out. You do not link the name of the article as you did, and it should be boldfaced upon its first mention. This is done by surrounding it with three apostrophes, but in the case of books, title should be italicized, so this would take five apostrophes. I strongly urge you to take an hour and carefully go through the Wikipedia:Tutorial and, after you do that, then carefully read Wikipedia:Your first article. Cheers.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 13:30, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Like A Hole In The Head

[edit]

The deletion of an article you created, Like A Hole In The Head, has been proposed for the following reason:

no claim of notability is present in the article; no substantial 3rd party coverage exists

You are welcome to improve the article to meet Wikipedia's quality standards and remove the deletion notice from the article. You may also remove the notice if you disagree with the deletion, though in such cases, further discussion may take place at Articles for deletion, and the article may still be deleted if there is a consensus to do so.

Wikipedia has certain standards for inclusion that all articles must meet. Certain types of article must establish the notability of their subject by asserting its importance or significance. Additionally, since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, content inappropriate for an encyclopedia, or content that would be more suited to somewhere else (such as a directory or social networking website) is not acceptable. See What Wikipedia is not for the relevant policy. You may wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Kevin (talk) 08:41, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sign

[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --Gryllida (% talk) 11:30, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Finding favour requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Thanks.I added this tag {{Non-free video cover}} But the pic didn't appear on the article yet.How to make it appear on the article?

The problem are following:
  • add the image to the article you described at the images rational (Al pitrelli) (which doesn't exists at the moment!) otherwise it will be deleted!
  • You do this by adding this code to the page: [[File:Al pitrelli.jpg|thumb|Caption of the image]]
  • The article states (in an comment clearly: only free-content images are allowed for depicting living people - see WP:NONFREE | See Wikipedia:WikiProject_Musicians
  • Oh and again don't forget to sign your comments on Talk-pages (see the note above!)
mabdul 11:57, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

IS this line you mentioned to be added in the infobox of Al Pitrelli's article or at the end of the page?Sanjeevgeorge123 (talk) 14:04, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Where ever you want, but as I already mentioned above: fair use is not suitable for such an image! I removed the image from this page, too, since the fair use rational don't mentioned you talkpage! mabdul 14:46, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

SO on the article page, I must mention why I am uploading that particular image? Is that what you mean?"Fair Use" means what? Sanjeevgeorge123 (talk) 14:57, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why don't you read the links I and the bot you above: fair use can be used in particular situations to use copyright images in articles (and only there!) To use copyright images there aren't any actual ways to replace the images/media with ones with a free content license (e.g. public domain)(not suitable here since everybody is able to shoot a photo of him). mabdul 15:43, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is an image of bollywood actor Sunny Deol, a living person. http://s.chakpak.com/se_images/22682_-1_564_none/sunny-deol.jpg

How do I know whether it is a free image that can be used on Wikipedia or not? In Google all images are available for free from all sites....and most celebrities like this have no problem with using their images. In fact,it is not possible for a wiki user to contact them for their permission :-) Can you explain in simple terms? Thanks

You have to dig around at the source website to find the copyright status of the image. Using a Google Image Search I think you copied the picture from www.chakpak.com. That site's terms of use say "The Content available on the Site shall not be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted or distributed in any way without obtaining the prior permission from Chakpak.". So this image is certainly not a "free image" since it can only be used with permission. For advice on requesting permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission, but I've never tried it and it doesn't look simple to me... -- John of Reading (talk) 08:10, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict)Good that you started to ask before uploading it again. This image is copyrighted since it is shot either by a professional or it is a screen capture of on of his films. Under http://www.chakpak.com/ you can see at the bottom "copyright 2009 Chakpak.com. All rights reserved. Terms of service " <-- it is copyrighted and under the terms of service you get to this site http://www.chakpak.com/cpl/dummy?forward=tos "explaining" that it is really copyrighted. To find free images that are suitable for Wikipedia on the World Wide Web is really not easy. There are some possibilities to start: try searching in other translated pages on other Wikipedia pages (click on the images, there is displayed the license), searching flickr (be careful, some images are there also not suitable, see the license notice at the right side), and google has also a image search where you can filter the license (under advanced). mabdul 08:25, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Al pitrelli.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Al pitrelli.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 11:20, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Suniel Shetty in 'Lakeer'.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.

There is no possible fair-use for this image as far as I can tell. It is not the iconic representation of the movie and movie-images are not allowed for individual stars in them. DMacks (talk) 16:42, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload new images. However, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded or added to an article may fail our non-free image policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted image of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free image criteria. Please note that we take very seriously our criteria on non-free image uploads and users who repeatedly upload or misuse non-free images may be blocked from editing. Orphaned non-free media (File:Get_a_load_of_this.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Get_a_load_of_this.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 21:54, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Article missing

[edit]

I created "Get a load of this", an article on a novel by James Hadley chase on 10/7/2011 but I can't find it now.How did it disappear?Sanjeevgeorge123 (talk) 06:04, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You can check your edit history at Special:Contributions/Sanjeevgeorge123 to check the spelling (and especially capitalization) to see if the article still exists. In this case, the title is Get A Load Of This, which still exists, but it is now a WP:REDIRECT to the author's page. My explanation for that change is "This article fails to make a case for WP:N and has zero WP:RS" DMacks (talk) 06:14, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

{{help me}} So now how do I make it WP:N? Can I see my article separately or not?

See Help:Page history to learn how to look at previous revisions of an existing article-title. See, well, WP:N for the minimal standards of notability. That overall guideline refers to Wikipedia:Notability (books), which is more specific to this topic. DMacks (talk) 08:15, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not following your question. Are you talking about "Get a load of this"? That has been answered,. Did you not understand the answer? Do you simply want to see this? --SPhilbrickT 13:43, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Image cropping

[edit]

I uploaded this image which is my OWN work to the article Gangamma Circle. But it is so Huge. How do i crop the image on wiki? Sanjeevgeorge123 (talk) 05:08, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:GCircle.jpg
Size=1.0
Images cannot be cropped (edited to remove edges), but they can be shrunk (scaled down) to a specific display size. See Wikipedia:Picture tutorial for lots of examples of the various ways to specify image display effects in articles. DMacks (talk) 06:18, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That really helpped .thanx Sanjeevgeorge123 (talk) 08:14, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome! By the way, you do not need to put a {{helpme}} tag every time you post. Editors usually watch for responses after posting (I know we were talking about something so I keep looking here). The tag is only needed to draw attention from others who are not aware of your talkpage. DMacks (talk) 08:18, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I wanted to thank you for it.that' why i put the tag.

License tagging for File:Ygic.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Ygic.jpg.

--ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:05, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at User talk:Sanjeevgeorge123, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. More information needed about File:Korgax3000g.jpeg

[edit]

Hello, GuitarCroc!

It was really helpful of you to upload File:Korgax3000g.jpeg, but in order to keep new images, we need to know their exact source and copyright status.

If you can edit the description page and add that information, that would be great. If you're not sure how or would like some help, please ask us at the media copyright questions page and we'll be happy to assist you.

Thanks again! --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 15:05, 5 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Korg AX3000G has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Why is that thing notable? It is missing independent reference and all that stuff. even the image seems a copyvio!

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. mabdul 00:32, 6 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi I want to know if it is possible to change the name of the links to articles in wikipedia. For eg, see the link below http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Mary%27s_Orthodox_Valiyapally

Can I make changes so that it will become something simpler like www.wikipedia.org/stmarysorthodoxvaliyapally?

I hope my question is understood. thanks Sanjeevgeorge123 (talk) 16:41, 24 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No that is not possible, but we have a (unofficial) URL "shortener", http://enwp.org/St._Mary%27s_Orthodox_Valiyapally is also working! mabdul 18:15, 24 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Then what about this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phoonk Doesn't it lead to the article Phoonk directly? Sanjeevgeorge123 (talk) 10:26, 14 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There are many different ways to link to an article, say Phoonk :
You can choose which one according to the situation. Also, please read Help:Link for a more comprehensive explanation. Cheers, ~ benzband (talk) 10:57, 14 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Benzband Can you make this link simpler for me? just like the Phoonk link above? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Mary's_Orthodox_Valiyapally

Can it be linked like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StMarysOrthodoxValiyapally? Thanks Sanjeevgeorge123 (talk) 12:31, 14 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The url http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StMarysOrthodoxValiyapally can only link to the page called StMarysOrthodoxValiyapally.
Now, it is possible to create a redirect at StMarysOrthodoxValiyapally (pointing to St. Mary's Orthodox Valiyapally), but it is unlikely that anyone will actually type StMarysOrthodoxValiyapally into the search box.
I don't see why you can't use http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Mary's_Orthodox_Valiyapally (or even http://enwp.org/wiki/St._Mary's_Orthodox_Valiyapally), as i am not familiar with your situation, but there are ways of changing the title of the link, for example :
Also, if you haven't already, see Help:Link. -- benzband (talk) 13:08, 14 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dear benzband, I wanted a direct link like that so that I can easily recommend it to people in messages/newspaper advertisements. It's easier for people to type StMarysOrthodoxValiyapally than http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Mary's_Orthodox_Valiyapally as there are no underscores in the former.

Can you create the redirect for me?

Replaceable fair use File:Benny Prasad.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Benny Prasad.jpg.

Thank you. Fut.Perf. 11:13, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Benny Prasad with Pedro.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Benny Prasad with Pedro.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 21:51, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

How do you recover a lost image? when you try to edit an article but by mistake alter the name of an existing image in it and save the page, then that image goes, leaving behind the edited name. For eg. In the article on St. Mary's Orthodox Valiyapally, I by mistake altered the name of the picture that was titles "the interior of the church". Now what to do?

You can always go back to a previous version of an article. Click on "history" at the top, and you will see a list of all the different revisions. Each line shows a time and date. If you click on the time and date, you will see that version of the article. If that is the version you want to restore, click on "Edit source" (or "Edit beta" for the new Visual editor), fill in an edit summary that explains what you are doing (something like "Revert to version of 13:25, 13 August 2013‎ by Sanjeevgeorge123") and save the page. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. 1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click Publish Changes button.

But, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept, either in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. At any case, please consider improving the page to address the issues raised or it may be deleted later anyway.

If you have any questions, leave a comment here and ping me.

Hello I.am.a.qwerty thank you for the message. I have actually contributed to wiki articles on James Hadley Chase books many times, hence I created this one too. I don't see much of a difference between those accepted pages and the current one in question. However I'll review the page and see what I can do from my end. Regards. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Consider Yourself Dead, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Dope and Shrink (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Notice

The article Strictly for Cash has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not meet WP:NBOOK.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. MrClog (talk) 13:42, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Why delete my article? There are many articles on James Hadley Chase books already on wiki... Why is this one proposed for deletion? Sanjeevgeorge123 (talk) 13:47, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sanjeevgeorge123, because I believe this book is not notable as per WP:NBOOK. Discussion can take place here. --MrClog (talk) 14:02, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I am totally open to constructive criticism and learning new things. Thank you Sanjeevgeorge123 (talk) 14:03, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Benny Prasad.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Benny Prasad.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Finnusertop (talkcontribs) 17:56, 29 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Bharat Dabholkar

Hello, GuitarCroc. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Bharat Dabholkar".

If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
