Hi Sam. You have enough independent references. I've listed them temporarily at the bottom of the reference section. It is a very interesting article. Good work, especially on the history. I am going to reorganize the article a bit, then ask you what you think of it. An encyclopedia article is mostly statements of facts. This makes it different from a magazine article or essay. The first paragraph will be a definition of the topic and a summary of the article. StarryGrandma (talk) 16:23, 10 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. I ended up reorganizing the article and making the wording more encyclopedic. More "who, what, where, when, why, and how" and less like a mission statement. :Let me tell you a bit about the changes I made. It turned out that the references weren't as independent as I thought, but there is enough independent coverage. I replaced references from primary sources with those from secondary sources where I could. See Wikipedia:No original research#Primary, secondary and tertiary sources for an explanation. Christian study centers have been around for long time. It was confusing to talk about the first Christian Study Center (with capitals) so I rewrote that. I found an online readable version of the new appendix to Noll's Jesus Christ and the Life of the Mind published in First Things. I put that in further reading but removed the comment from it in the article. I couldn't find any sources that talked about the centers staff and volunteers, so I took that out. Maybe something will turn up later.
On the housekeeping side, I took out most of the external links. Wikipedia doesn't provide a directory. I also cut down the list of categories; you just need the lowest level category in any topic, not the parent categories too.
Let me know if you think my changes are OK. If they are I will approve it;
Conflict of interest
Since you are on the staff of the Consortium of Christian Study Centers you do have a conflict of interest when you edit about it on Wikipedia. The Wikipedia community will worry that you might not be neutral when you edit. You need to put a notice on your talk page. I'll look up the proper form and let you know what to do.
StarryGrandma (talk) 05:41, 11 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Actually you just need to put a short sentence on your user page, not your talk page: "Conflict of Interest (COI) disclosure: I work for the Consortium of Christian Study Centers." And read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. StarryGrandma (talk) 18:06, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Wonderful! Thanks so much for your tremendous help. I added the COI disclosure on the user page.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Christian Study Centers, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Laypeople. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
