[edit]Since you are bilingual, I was wondering if you would be interested in translating a couple of small articles in French for me? Hawkeye7 (talk) 20:28, 24 November 2015 (UTC)
- Sure! I won't commit to any ETA because my I'm a gold medalist in lazy procrastination but toss me what you need and I'll get it done eventually! :D ☺ · Salvidrim! · ✉ 22:03, 24 November 2015 (UTC)
- No deadline! Thank you! Take your time. The articles are small: Maude Jacques and Cindy Ouellet. I sometimes forget that not all Canadians can speak English very well. But these two can. In fact, Maude was translating for me in Beijing. I tried auto-translating one once, but they delete unless the French is perfect, and mine's terrible. Hawkeye7 (talk) 08:17, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
- I'll be honoured to work on the articles! The most complicated thing will be to figure out the frwiki versions of the various templates used. ;) ☺ · Salvidrim! · ✉ 14:43, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
- Hawkeye7 - Haven't had time to delve into this but I'm keeping this thread unarchived as a reminder. :) ☺ · Salvidrim! · ✉ 17:52, 1 February 2016 (UTC)

Game hint lines
[edit]I came across an article in GamePro about live game counselors and 900 hint lines which has one or two useful pieces of info. The trouble is, I can't seem to find an article on Wikipedia where such information might appropriately go. Any suggestions?--Martin IIIa (talk) 20:34, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
- There's probably enough coverage to convert Nintendo Power Line into a broader concept of Video Game hint lines, of which the most famous was the Nintendo Power Line: Kotaku, A.V. Club, the line was revived for the NES Mini launch (Engadget, CNet, Polygon), Wikia (unusable as a source but can be used as a base for research), featured in The Wizard, that time when one number was bought by an sex company (N4G, NBC, Wired), Gamasutra, Felicia Day biography, Geek.com, Sierra Hint Line (this is an archive of 1989 Sierra Magazine), Sega, Konami also had their own Hint Lines. ☺ · Salvidrim! · ✉ 20:55, 30 May 2017 (UTC)

Evil Stone moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Evil Stone, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 13:19, 21 May 2023 (UTC)

However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:15, 24 May 2023 (UTC)

Hi
[edit]I know you've been less active on Wikipedia lately, so I'm not sure if this will mean much to you. But I wanted you to know that I now think the Committee was overly harsh in desysopping you in 2018. If you could see yourself ever back actively and happily adminning, let me know if you'd ever want to talk about the path to becoming a sysop again. Best, KevinL (aka L235 · t · c) 21:20, 19 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks @L235:, I won't lie, I've been thinking about it recently! I've stayed a bit out of sight of patrolling the admin/community boards but I wouldn't consider myself inactive, I still edit here and there every week. Also, I don't necessarily think the desysopping was unwarranted, although I do miss the gnoming/clerking work I was able to so back then. I'm definitely open to returning to active duty if you think the community will support it! Ben · Salvidrim! ✉ 23:11, 19 November 2023 (UTC)

If the result of the previous AfD was "delete", surely this article should not exist and its re-creation should be eligible for PROD? – PeeJay 11:57, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @PeeJay:, unfortunately, as per policy, an article subject is **ineligible for PROD if it has even been PRODed or AfD'ed in the past**. WP:PRODNOM. Note that if the new article is substantially identical, CSD#G4 may apply, which an administrator can evaluate by viewing deleted revisions (but considering the decade in-between I doubt that it meets the "substantially similar" threshold of the usual post-AfD recreations). Ben · Salvidrim! ✉ 12:27, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
- Frustratingly, I can't see what the deleted version of the article looks like to compare. Do you know any way to do that? Happy to nominate under CSD#G4 if valid, otherwise I think this would definitely fail an AfD. – PeeJay 23:11, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, only admins can view deleted revisions. But considering the decade in-between I doubt that it meets the "substantially similar" threshold of the usual post-AfD recreations anyways. Ben · Salvidrim! ✉ 23:33, 25 June 2024 (UTC)

Silesian School of Iconography
[edit]I am restarting the creation of the website for the Silesian School of Iconography. In the near future, I will be attempting to work on it. I will be doing this in my sandbox named Silesian School of Iconography. I don't know if you have access to this text. If you can, please help me. I am very weak at Wikipedia, but I will try. I have dreamed about this for years. Forgive me if I am writing this text to you in an inappropriate place, but this maze of information is difficult. The header says that before I start creating this text again, I should contact you, so I am doing that. Best regards. Like the dewfall (talk) 01:51, 18 July 2024 (UTC)

Hello, Salvidrim!,
A sockpuppet created this User page and a User talk page, claiming it to be one of your alternate accounts. Is this true? Or would you like them to be deleted? Liz Read! Talk! 02:28, 9 November 2024 (UTC)
- Yes that is an alt account I own (even though I don't use it lol, I think 10 years ago I got inspired by Bishzilla :p). The weirdo actually tried to move the content (aka nothing) to User:Salvidumbass which is a non-existant account. It's just weird shenanigans. Ben · Salvidrim! ✉ 05:53, 9 November 2024 (UTC)
