WP:VG/A/R clean-up

Since you've helped assess articles in the past, maybe you could help. There's currently 10 articles listed (at time of this post), all of which are requesting A-Class assessment. 4 of them have my support, so they just need another editor's support. FYI - Tailsman

So, as you may have noticed, I tried doing an experiment; I wondered if, instead of constantly warning him, or advocating for his blocking, if perhaps humoring Tailsman's would be easier. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, and for a while, it seemed to be less effort. However, lately he's become more and more difficult, lately much of his posts are merely following around my contribution list and making random, not-especially-insightful comments, or even full on personal attacks in edit summaries.

Anyways, you're obviously free to handle things with him as you please, but I just wanted to let you know that I'm back to strictly warning and advocating for his block, and that's it. Sergecross73 msg me 21:18, 17 December 2012 (UTC)

As you may have noticed, I've mostly stopped engaging him months ago. I reply with disinterest when he does contact me and try to be generally helpful but I feel giving him attention through warnings or actual discussions only encourages his antics. Salvidrim! 21:26, 17 December 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, what you describe is the reason why I originally thought it might be easier to try to help him instead of just chastizing him, even if I didn't think his edits were in good faith, just to see if he'd be less work that way. It's not. So, I just thought I'd throw it out there for you, (and possibly Rehevkor, as you two were the only ones who seemed to notice what I was trying to do) that I've abandoned that approach. You might actually like some more userboxes on your new userbox page -- did you know that you can put userboxes in columms (or rows)? Look:

Also, you might like to split them into categories (eg. "About me", "WikiProjects", "Wikipedia and computing").

I'm pretty sure I mentioned that I was content with what I had. In any case, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-building project -- why don't you find an article and focus on improving it instead of socializing and showing interest in other editors' use of userboxes? :) Salvidrim! 10:06, 26 December 2012 (UTC)

Nope. I'm unsure what happened. I just tested and was able to e-mail myself, so I know the system works. Do you have e-mail enabled on your account? Did you go to Special:EmailUser/Salvidrim, type a message, and click send? Did it bring you to the confirmation screen saying "E-mail sent"? Salvidrim! 09:52, 28 December 2012 (UTC)
