Azikiwe lived with his grandmother in Onitsha until 1915.
- He went to the west to live with his parents after his father was transferred to Lagos.
He started his education from 1915 to 1918 in an elementary school in Lagos. He returned to Onitsha and finished his primary education in March 1920.
