Community page
Start a new page concerning specific communities in cities, then insert a "see also" link at the top of the section article where it is appropriate.
"Columbus is home to a large GLBT community (estimated to be over 65,000 strong, was rated as one of the best cities in the country for gays and lesbians to live, and also as the most underrated gay city in the country. Columbus hosts over 25 gay bars and clubs, and its annual Pride celebrations draw 100,000 visitors. Columbus also has one of the highest per capita donations to GLBT political causes in the country.
The community is centered on The Short North, with several gay friendly establishments located on, or within a short distance of High St. However, the gay population is not exclusively concentrated in this neighborhood, but is also found in adjacent neighborhoods such as the Italian and Victorian Villages. High concentrations of GLBT residents are also found in Clintonville, German Village and Old Towne East."

- I didn't add the section, I only fixed the references. Rwalker (talk) 16:41, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
British English
Please note, First and Second World War are the official terms in British English (as used in the Official Histories, so per WP:ENGVAR these terms should not be changed to World War I or II. David Underdown (talk) 16:06, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
- I wasn't aware. However, the links need to point to the World War I and World War II pages instead of redirects.
- No they don't, please look at WP:R2D where the redirect is from a valid alternative name it is better to use the redirect as it makes editing the page easier and less cluttered. Redirects should only be replaced if they are from incorrect spellings etc. David Underdown (talk) 16:13, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
- So much to learn. Rwalker (talk) 16:20, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

I've been thinking about how to make this into one, sortable list table since I created it; that's why there are currently the redundant listings separated by career/field, by chronology, and alphabetically. The problem is we have no standardization of the career terminology. And where there are multiple entries for a parameter, as we'd have when one individual is notable in different fields, the sorting feature (to the best of my knowledge) would just sort by the first one listed. Any thoughts on how to make it work?
Another thought I had was to add in columns for the relationships the individuals had with the city; were they born there, did they grow up there, go to college there, do their notable work there... But again aside from maybe birthplace, these are difficult things to standardize. postdlf (talk) 17:31, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
Ok, I can see your point in your reversion, so even before it was reverted I added Sullivant's name to this section of the article requests. I am surprised he doesn't yet have an article here yet, though. ArcAngel (talk) ) 21:05, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
RWalker, I am trying to edit the list of nicknames for Columbus, Ohio. I am trying to remove "Cowtown" and "The Biggest Small Town in America" from the list.
"Cowtown" - This is not a nickname. This is an offensive slur. A major city like Columbus does not deserve to be called a cowtown.
"The Biggest Small Town in America" - In the 42 years I've lived here, I have never heard Columbus referred to as this. Plus, there is no verifiable reference associated with proposed nickname.
I am new to Wikipedia editing and would appreciate your help. Rider1968 (talk) 15:54, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
- The fight to put Cowtown on the nickname list for Columbus has been raging for a while. See the talk page. It's hard to nail down because there are no hard and fast rules about nicknames; they are usually a shared social convention as opposed to an official nickname dictated by the government. This is the first I've seen Biggest Small Town. Both need verifiable references added or they can be removed.
Hello. I was very disappointed when I saw that you'd removed the "superfluous" fluffernutter pictures. When I first saw them and their caption, it gave me a very large chuckle, and since then has made my day multiple times. More seriously though, the page now looks dull to read, and I don't think the pictures were superfluous at all. They provided a well need break from plain text and, had I never seen a fluffernutter before (I have met many people who have never even heard of Fluff), I would have found it informative, aiding my sandwich recognizing skills immensely. I hope you do not find my comment too subjective, but I do believe those pictures are necessary for the health of wikipedia as a whole, and would appreciate it if you'd put them back up. Thank you for your consideration.

Encoding issues on Underfloor heating
This edit looks like an ordinary spelling change, but if you look at the bottom of the page, it has also broken the non-ASCII interwikis. Maybe your browser settings need fiddling with? Andy Dingley (talk) 19:44, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

Christian hip hop
You left a Multiple issues template on the Christian hip hop article. When completed it reads in part "This article has multiple issues. Please help improve it or discuss these issues on the talk page.". You didn't start the discussion on the talk page so I have no idea what your multiple issues with the article are. Please start the conversation there or remove the template. Thanks. I will not be following your talk page to respond to any concerns you have here. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 21:55, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

Please ensure that you read the articles carefullu before you tag them. A guy who died in 1927 doesn't qualify as a BLP. Thanks, The-Pope (talk) 07:13, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
