ABC story
[edit]Two years old - know of anything more recent about this issue? SatuSuro 08:43, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
What ABC story are you referring to?
Protected areas of tasmania
[edit]You might need more citations or refs for that - and the whole thing might need to actually go in another article - SatuSuro 07:58, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
Hi SatuSuro, I'm trying to work out how to contact you. I hope this works. Regarding your comment on 'protected areas of tasmania'. Well Tasmania is literally being trashed by huge transnational 'forestry' corporations. Converting native forests (a lot of which are temperate rainforests) to monoculture tree plantations that go for a hundred kilometres or more in one direction and another.
It appears inappropriate to begin this webpage with the word 'protected'. Perhaps it would be more appropriate to refer to these places as listed 'reserves' or 'conservation areas'. using the inverted commas.
Then a paragraph with links to a full article on the huge controversy raging over the concept of 'protection' of the environment (and people) in Tassie.
What do you reckon?
