Disambiguation link notification for May 1
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2022–23 Ghazl El Mahalla SC season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ahmed El Sheikh. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Editors are expected to treat each other with respect and civility. On this encyclopedia project, editors assume good faith while interacting with other editors, which you did not appear to do at Joe Carson (Petticoat Junction). Here is Wikipedia's welcome page, and it is hoped that you will assume the good faith of other editors and continue to help us improve Wikipedia! Thank you very much! 49ersBelongInSanFrancisco (talk) 04:26, 12 May 2023 (UTC)

Pioneers FC (Egypt) moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Pioneers FC (Egypt). Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it has no sources. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 04:45, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
- I tried to find sources online, but the club is poorly managed and they don't have anything on the internet. I am going down to their headquarters next week to chat about the club's history with the owner. I'll let you know if we can find any valid sources by then. Thanks buddy! RodrigoIPacce (talk) 17:21, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
Transfermarkt again
[edit]As I've already explained to you, Transfermarkt should not be cited in articles. Per the site's login page: Whether player info, coach info, club info, or match report – as a Transfermarkt user, you can edit and add to almost all data by yourself. This makes it a self-published and therefore unreliable source. Citing sources you know to be unreliable is disruptive. Do not do that again. Sir Sputnik (talk) 21:22, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
- As i have already told you. You are wrong! If you can Edit something in Transfermarket that would be the case, but you can't. RodrigoIPacce (talk) 21:24, 15 May 2023 (UTC)

- Brother it says "Submit" corrections! It has to be reviewed before being accepted. I have used this site before. What are you on about. RodrigoIPacce (talk) 21:30, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
- The review is also done by volunteer contributors, not Transfermarkt staff. The process is not dissimilar to making an edit request to a fully protected article on Wikipedia. The review does not change the site's character as a self-published source. A cursory check of the relevant noticeboards (WP:RSN, WT:FOOTY) will show you that the use of Transfermarkt as a source has been consistently rejected when discussed. Thanks for your contributions to Proxy SC. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it needs more sources to establish notability. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

- I am sorry, but what you did was completely in the wrong. As if there aren't enough sources. You simply add that there needs to be more sources and citations. I have already published another article with one source, then someone added a template stating that it is only containing one source and needs to be "Improved", but you on the other hand. See 3 sources and decide to move it into the draft space. See my question is. Is this how you show humor? Because this joke is the behavior of a clown. I am republishing it and if you touch this article. I will report you to wikipedia for abuse of power. This was uncalled for, and you should try to pay attention to bigger problems, as this is not even a problem or a disruption. Thank you! RodrigoIPacce (talk) 21:34, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- If this was real life I swear I would give you a peice of my mind. What's wrong with you man? Why did you place a perfectly good article in draft! Now it won't ever get published! There are articles of clubs WITH NO SOURCE! THIS ONE HAS 3! Are you lazy to look for an actual bad one. HOW ABOUT YOU ADD MORE SOURCES IF YOU DON'T THE THREE THAT ARE ALREADY IN PLACE. You are one "special" person. A special! Case! I haven't dealt with someone as you. You see THREE SOURCES! YOUR FIRST INSTINCT! OH YEAH! DRAFT! Very Special indeed. RodrigoIPacce (talk) 01:32, 20 May 2023 (UTC)
- I just ran into a club page that had NO SOURCES! Guess what I did! I added a source instead of acting rash. Also did you just not like the arabic sources? You think Arabs and Arabic sources are not credible? I had a previous one for La Vienna FC it wasn't as good as it is now, but it was approved. The person that approved it only did one thing. He saw one source. He marked it as one source, it was an arabic source. He is an Arab just like me. So this an issue with you brother? What the heck is your problem? read the previous part and do your job better like the previous brother. RodrigoIPacce (talk) 01:42, 20 May 2023 (UTC)

- Wow, those are harsh comments. I was just following through on CSD G13 speedy deletions. The message tells you why the draft was deleted, because the draft had not been edited for six months. This is CSD policy, not my opinion. Stale drafts are deleted on a daily basis. The message also tells you how to request its restoration, by going to WP:REFUND and making a request. No problem, it will be restored! I don't think the personal attack is justifiable here. But I see you have also attacked RFC reviewers here but not pinged them so that they would know you had a question about their review and could respond to your questions. Liz Read! Hello, I'm trying to understand why you reinstated a large chunk of content that was previously added by sockpuppets. Your edit summaries were not helpful and could be considered deliberately deceptive and the content you re-added (apart from being made by evading a block) appears to be a BLP violation. I would be very interested to know how you came across the article and why you decided to re-add that content. Please reply to this before you make any further edits, otherwise you may be blocked. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 14:20, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- @HJ Mitchell
- Thank you for your attention. I came across the page while reading various articles and reviewing their histories on Wikipedia, and I found a peculiar case here. You mentioned that it violates BLP, which is an interesting accusation. I will follow your thoughts and join the discussion.
- I read sources such as The Guardian, Radio Liberty, and other reputable ones, ant they clearly state that the person is a Czech tycoon, working many years with Russia and Gazprom in various projects. I did not re-added it as you thought, but rewrote and add the basic information back piece-by-piece. It was pretty much sourced material, and it was removed without clear reasoning. Sorry that I did not longer edit summaries to explain my logic of editing.
- Additionally, I did not find any sockpuppets in the page's history wich you refer too. And someone deleted the content with the comment “reverted sock” and there I think everything gone wrong. The Guardian, Radio Liberty and other good reliable sources were also removed and the page clearly became not neutral and not balanced. The only blocked account was blocked for disruptive editing, with the reason stated as "Clearly not here to build an encyclopedia: Single-purpose edit warrior."
- You may check my talk page - I am on Wikipedia to be bald and do what I feel right with following the rules.
- Once again, I'm happy to discuss and work on making the page correct per BLP. RodrigoIPacce (talk) 11:38, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
