[edit]Hello, I'm Chris troutman. I noticed that you made a change to an article, James Monroe, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Chris Troutman (talk) 19:52, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
Hello Chris,
There is no record of the first individual (Curtis Stratton) being a descendant of James Monroe. The second individual died in 1996 however there is evidence of her being a descendant of Monroe (http://articles.baltimoresun.com/1996-12-30/news/1996365059_1_gatchell-james-monroe-roland-park). If there is evidence of Mr. Stratton being a descendant then by all means keep him listed, but otherwise I think it was probably someone pranking online and should be removed on grounds of no evidence.

- My earlier message was addressing your insertion of the name "Elizabeth E. Gatchell" to the descendants section without a reference. Since the other names were also not referenced I have removed the section entirely. I personally doubt the scholarship of the Baltimore Sun's Obituary page and wouldn't solely rely on their unsourced assertion. If you'd like to re-insert this information, please read WP:CITE to see how to cite sources before putting that information back in. Chris Troutman (talk) 20:51, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
