The term, Maiden of the Crossroads, is a reference to the Goddess Hecate. However, if one did not know that fact, it would difficult to find it out via the internet.
Prior to the creation of this page, if one searched for the phrase, Maiden of the Crossroads, on Google, one would have found just one single page, at web address: http://www.whisperinglakegrove.org/rituals/specialoccasions/handfastrenewal.pdf. That page includes a hymn / prayer to Hecate, where she is referred to as the Maiden of the Crossroads. However, until the creation of this page there was no simple online definition indicating that Hecate and the Maiden of the Crossroads were one and the same God.
