Welcome
[edit]Professor Paul Riemer
Professor Paul Riemer is my Father and passed away in 2012, he was a professor at the University of Saskatchewan for 44 years. Some info on him is here but I would like to start a wiki page of his life for the students he taught to read about . https://csce.ca/paul-riemer

I just deleted the user page info and left it blank as it has been for years now. Will put something up there when I know how to do this wiki stuff, it’s a steep learning curve for me.
Contested deletion

Hello, I don't understand what I'm suppose to put in the user page, someone wants it deleted so I guess I did it wrong by putting some bio on me on there. Can someone help be understand what the user page should contain.
As well I would like to start a page on a late Professor of Engineering at the U of S is Saskatoon. How do I do that?

- Near as I can tell, what you posted looked like a draft article about yourself - which isn't really something that we allow. (See Our policy on autobiographies, for example.) Now, if you want to post about yourself as an editor, then you should feel free to do so. Userpages that list an editor's favorite topics or areas of interest are common here. My own userpage (User:ultraexactzz) is a bit more cluttered than most, but might give you a notion about the sorts of items one might usually find on a userpage. I've taken the liberty of adding {{userpage}} to yours, which will make clear that the page is your userpage and not a draft article. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 18:52, 28 March 2017 (UTC)
Hello, I thought the user page was to be filled about my info, I just deleted everything there and left it blank as it has been for years. Professor Paul Riemer is my Father and passed away in 2012, he was a professor at the University of Saskatchewan for 44 years. Some info on him is here but I would like to start a wiki page of his life for the students he taught to read about . https://csce.ca/paul-riemer
Your help desk question
[edit]Yes, you are correct that what you are calling a "page" is in fact a Wikipedia article. A lot of people have trouble with this. They seem to think people here create "pages" when in fact the goal is to create encyclopedic articles. The article you worked on is a little short but apparently it has been accepted.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 21:04, 3 April 2017 (UTC)
