GA Review
Hi! I just came upon your GA review of Katyusha rocket launcher, and had a few comments on the way you handled the review. First of all, when you complete a review, please remove the listing from the nominations page and if the article passes, as it did in this case, add it to the good articles listing page. I have taken the liberty of doing these two things for you for this article. Second, I feel that your passing of the article may have been slightly hasty. There are fairly significant referencing and MOS issues with this article. Although I am not going to take the article to GAR right now, I have placed a list of comments for further improvement on the talk page of the article for the main editors. You may want to take a look at this list in order to see what you should look for on future articles. Third, the GA review system is now using a separate page for reviewing articles that is then transcluded onto the main article talk page; you may want to review the guidelines for reviewing an article to learn about these changes.
Remember, GA reviewing is not a race, and the goal is not to get through a review as fast as possible. Please take the time to thoroughly review the article that you have chosen, so as to keep the GA process at a high level of quality. If you have any questions, drop me a note on my talk page. Revisions to USS West Bridge (ID-2888)
I wanted to let you know there may be something funky going on with your script (or whatever you used). For the edit you made to USS West Bridge (ID-2888) it did something really strange to some of the references. I went ahead and undid your changes, but wanted to let you know to take a look at your script before continuing to use it. — Bellhalla (talk) 17:16, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- That's odd. Usually AndyZ's script works very well. Thanks for the FYI. ṜέđṃάяķvюĨїήīṣŢ Drop me a line 18:43, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

Percy Herbert Cherry
Hi, I have addressed most of the issues you raised during the A-class review for Percy Herbert Cherry, and have left comments on the review page explaining the actions I did or did not take. I was hoping that you could have another look at the article, and see if I have amended the issues raised to your satisfaction, if that isn't too much trouble? If you're too busy, or don't want to, that's fine. Thanks for your comments so far, Abraham, B.S. (talk) 11:55, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- Hi mate. Thanks for all your comments in the review so far, however some of your recent comments or suggestions don't really apply to the article (such as "th" to dates) or are required/encouraged in Featured Articles and not A-Class. Nonetheless, I am grateful for all your comments and suggestions, and am determined to satisfy your demands in an endeavour to hopefully gain your support and approval. Thanks, Abraham, B.S. (talk) 08:21, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, you already have my support. :) I was just giving further suggestions if you do want to go to FA. ṜέđṃάяķvюĨїήīṣŢ Drop me a line 14:01, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks, mate! I'm not sure if I do want to go to FA with this article, as I'm not sure if it would pass, but, as I said, I do appreciate your comments. If you wouldn't mind, and whenever you do get the time, would you be able to formalise your support on the review page? If you would prefer not to, then that's fine. Thanks, Redmarkviolinist, I appreciate all you have done. Abraham, B.S. (talk) 04:28, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Percy Herbert Cherry ACR
The automated review created a problem. The text you added contained the following string, containing the "onlyinclude" call:
- <onlyinclude>{{#ifeq:{{{name}}}|Percy Herbert Cherry|<span style="cursor:help"><font face="Papyrus">[[User:Redmarkviolinist|<font color="red">Ṝέđ</font><font color="green">ṃάяķvюĨїήīṣŢ</font>]]</font> [[User talk:Redmarkviolinist|Drop me a line]]'''</span> 16:45, 24 September 2008 (UTC)}}</onlyinclude>
This prevented the article from being transcluded to the A-Class review page. I have fixed this now but can you please check auto-generated text for "onlyinclude" and "noinclude" before posting it. Many thanks :) --ROGER DAVIES talk 05:41, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

GA-hold on SS Mauna Loa
Thank you for taking the time to review SS Mauna Loa for consideration as a good article. I'm more than happy to work to improve the article, but am stumped as to what prose is lacking citations. Can you clarify that for me please? Also, could you let me know where the guideline that addresses redlinks is in Wikipedia:Good article criteria? Maybe I'm reading it differently than the consensus, but I don't see anything that addresses redlinks. Many thanks in advance. — Bellhalla (talk) 17:42, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- The prose is the lead section. The redlinks are not necessary for GA, the article just looks more professional. I'm sorry, I should have clarified both of these. Cheers, ṜέđṃάяķvюĨїήīṣŢ Drop me a line 17:50, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- The style that I prefer does not clutter the lead with citations (unless there is a particularly compelling reason to do so). This is a style that is sanctioned at WP:LEADCITE and is in use in a great many featured articles.
- Also, as an FYI, I moved your original review on to the review page at Talk:SS Mauna Loa/GA1 (the link generated from {{GAN}}). — Bellhalla (talk) 17:58, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
I encourage engagement for the project as along as it is comaptible with RL. I don't encourage violating the project's rules. This is possibly a misunderstanding. You are no contact and you can't list yourself as such. Instead you have to ask a coordinator to sanction you as such. I can do that until 30 September. For this, I need a list of some of your contributions about the topics you want to be contact for. The more you can list and the better the quality, the more likely I will decide positive. Wandalstouring (talk) 19:06, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, I can't appoint you contact. Your articles are not of sufficient quality. Please try to write at least several A-class article on a topic you want to be contact for. Wandalstouring (talk) 17:43, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

You mentioned using VandalProof on my Editor Review section. Well, it would be be nice to use VandalProof, except for the fact that, in case you haven't noticed yet, "registration has been disabled." Lord Hugh Seymour GAN
Hi Redmarkviolinist, I have seen that you applied the outline of the GAN chechlist to the review page for the article Lord Hugh Seymour, which would indicate that you are prepared to review the article under the criteria. However, you have not yet reviewed the article after having applied the outline of the checklist eight days ago nor have you listed your name as the article's reviewer at WP:GAN. If you do not wish to review the article, could you please let me know asap as I am prepared to do so. Thanks, Abraham, B.S. (talk) 09:17, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

Editing help
Redmark,
As a rookie, I am always cheered by other members' support in editing my first drafts. As I noted when I joined Wikipedia, I am a writer (novelist, creative nonfictionist, journalist) without the technical background to be a true editor. Maybe someday, if I apply myself...
At any rate, two names in the article should link to other articles, but still show red. Charles D. Booker and Adolf Ritter von Tutschek have articles written about them (by me). They link from the "mother page" List of World War I flying aces. Yet the Ulrich Neckel article doesn't link to them.
Could you please check this out? Perhaps changing the Booker entry to his full name of Charles Dawson Booker might be the solution.
Georgejdorner (talk) 04:46, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
Redmark,
I note that you seem to be a mentor in the Adopt-a-user mentor. I have been struggling with learning to reference citations and become a better editor. Thus far, I have been dependent on the editor who recruited me, Trevor Innes. However, rather than be a burden upon him, I am looking for a mentor. Based on your work on my Ulrich Neckel article, I would like to be your adoptee--that is, if you are adopting.
Truth be known, in my last months' writing frenzy, I left a wake of several (dozen) new articles needing referencing. I'd like to learn to clear up my own mess.
Georgejdorner (talk) 05:14, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
Redmark,
I have just revisited Ulrich Neckel. I have used the head paras of my articles as a precis/claim to notability. I see you have expanded it beyond that in Neckel's case, so that the reader re-reads header info below. I think it makes for a flabby bit of repetitious writing myself.
I may be new to Wikipedia, but I am an old hand at writing.
I have not carried through with the adoption because other kindly souls have thrown the needed info to me, bless their hearts.

Third Battle of Kharkov
Hey, you commented on the A-class review of Third Battle of Kharkov. There have been some wikilinks added since your comment, and I was wondering if you were interested in revisiting the review, even if it was to leave more comments. I want to avoid stagnation in the discussion, and either get it promoted or get to where it will be good enough to get promoted. Thanks! JonCatalán(Talk) 06:37, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

It would be nice
It would be nice if you put notice of your GA review on the article's talk page (as you did not do with Boston campaign), or at least mention the article's name when you remove it from the GAN page. I had to search the GAN page history to figure out where my nomination went. Thanks for your feedback, BTW. Magic♪piano 18:39, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
- I have to admit that this has surprised me, Redmark. I've been concerned about your GA Reviews before, but I was about to review the Boston Campaign myself. There was nothing there calling for an immediate fail - only a few relatively minor things that could be addressed whilst the article is On Hold - and to not even notify the nominating editor is rather rude. Might I suggest you do a full-scale review of an article if you continue to do GA Reviews, and not instantly fail it? Skinny87 (talk) 19:43, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

What does that mean? I just put the post up five minutes ago and you have completely dismissed twenty years of work with 'fail'
Please can you explain this when there are musicians who have achieved far less included on Wikipedia.
Thank you

PJ Phillips
Try Googling 'PJ Phillips bass'. As a young violinist yourself I would have thought you would have maybe seen him with Vanessa-Mae? There are plenty of live YouTube posts and "The Alternative" live album (and video) etc.
This is my first post and I am thinking of posting other musicians too. I don't think someone who has toured the world with some of the biggest names in the music business can be called a 'fail' I hope, really hope, that you yourself make it as a musician if that's your choice, then maybe you will see how difficult the business is for 'session musicians'.
Are there any alternative sites I could go to instead. I am new to wikipedia and really didn't know how. Can you delete PJ's Profile on your own? Can I do that to other peoples postings? It's very strange.
Anyway I hope you will reconsider
