Notice of discretionary sanctions
[edit]Please carefully read this information:
The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.
Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you that sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.Favonian (talk) 18:08, 9 July 2018 (UTC)
Warning
[edit]Per Wikipedia:Arbitration/Index/Palestine-Israel articles
All IP editors, accounts with fewer than 500 edits, and accounts with less than 30 days tenure are prohibited from editing any page that could be reasonably construed as being related to the Arab-Israeli conflict.
If you edit again any article relating to the conflict I will report you Shrike (talk) 20:04, 9 July 2018 (UTC)

[edit]If you believe this block is unjustified, please read the guide to appealing blocks (specifically this section) before appealing. Place the following on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Please copy my appeal to the [[WP:AE|arbitration enforcement noticeboard]] or [[WP:AN|administrators' noticeboard]]. Your reason here OR place the reason below this template. ~~~~}}
. If you intend to appeal on the arbitration enforcement noticeboard I suggest you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template on your talk page so it can be copied over easily. You may also appeal directly to me (by email), before or instead of appealing on your talk page. Favonian (talk) 20:10, 9 July 2018 (UTC)
Reminder to administrators: In May 2014, ArbCom adopted the following procedure instructing administrators regarding Arbitration Enforcement blocks: "No administrator may modify a sanction placed by another administrator without: (1) the explicit prior affirmative consent of the enforcing administrator; or (2) prior affirmative agreement for the modification at (a) AE or (b) AN or (c) ARCA (see "Important notes" [in the procedure]). Administrators modifying sanctions out of process may at the discretion of the committee be desysopped."

Request reason:
I did nothing wrong,All i did was adjusting a small piece of information on the said page, and then there were 2 users who would delete anything i write just few hours after i publish it. they don't own this page, this is a public property
Decline reason:
You were warned. You violated the warning. The block looks legitimate to me. Yamla (talk) 20:56, 9 July 2018 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:
"You were warned", Yet i did nothing wrong, I did not write a false information. So whoever issues a block first win! is that how things run? they get monopoly on the page, only their opinion is allowed?! Ras al Ghoul (talk) 21:13, 9 July 2018 (UTC)
Decline reason:
See Yamla's response below. In this context, your motivation for editing these pages is irrelevant - what matters is that you were not permitted to do that. Max Semenik (talk) 21:41, 9 July 2018 (UTC)

You were told you were prohibited from editing that page. You were warned. You did so anyway. That's why you were blocked. --Yamla (talk) 21:18, 9 July 2018 (UTC)
Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied text from Al-Maʿarri to Antinatalism (your addition has since been removed). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. If you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 13:14, 6 December 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you may have added public domain content to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as Lunar Crater Radio Telescope. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 21:19, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
- Is the attribution added to the LCRT article correct? Ras al Ghoul (talk) 21:35, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
- Which article are you talking about? Do you mean Lunar Crater Radio Telescope? — Diannaa (talk) 01:16, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, correct. Ras al Ghoul (talk) 07:13, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
- When copying from public domain sources, simply add the template
{{PD-notice}}
after your citation, like I did here. Do this when you copy text from a public domain source. This is not how we do it. — Diannaa (talk) 11:19, 12 September 2023 (UTC)- Thanks a lot ^_^ Ras al Ghoul (talk) 20:49, 13 September 2023 (UTC)

Flags and reliable sources
[edit]Hi, please do not add flags to articles about historical states unless they are supported by reliable sources. The Arabic Wikipedia, or any other Wikipedia source, is not a reliable source (see Wikipedia:Wikipedia is not a reliable source). I also recommend you have a quick look at previous editing history and talk page discussions before adding something that seems to be missing from an article: at both Umayyad Caliphate and Fatimid Caliphate, the flags have been removed recently (sometimes repeatedly) and have been discussed explicitly on the talk pages. Thanks, R Prazeres (talk) 16:43, 30 September 2023 (UTC)
